This area is awesome. To park for free with millions dollar 360deg view .is unbelievable
Just lovely. The 20 minute walk ends with a stile so our walk was 40 minutes because our dog couldn't negotiate the stile! Nice little piwakawaka followed us for a while and magpies sang to us. Really peaceful. We had it to ourselves. Some large trucks came up and down Gully Bush Road and I wouldn't have like to meet them on the road in our 7m bus. I recommend using Galbraith Road.
A beautiful free camping spot with a grass, gated area and stunning 360° views—easily our favourite place so far. We didn’t use the toilet as we’re self-contained, but the area was clean and well-kept. The gravel road leading in is in good condition and was no problem for our camper. There were around six other people staying, with plenty of space still available. We recommend parking facing east to catch the sunrise. Bonus: good phone signal throughout.
Cool spot. I was standing under the tree and then found two spiders in my car. But otherwise, the view is beautiful and you can watch the sunrise and sunset.
I agree with the previous comments: beautiful remote quiet place with a lots of space and a nice 360 degree view. Only one long drop toilet. 15 min gravel road but pretty good.
Quiet place with a good shorts walks around. Access through 7 km gravel road with steep hills in between. Our Hilux based camper had some challenges in moderate wet conditions - beaware in wet conditions
