This town is weird. Really dodgy. Just bad vibes as soon as I arrived and then turned around straight after arriving at this camp site. I’m a female solo traveler so gotta be more safe and no one else was there just one random normal car that didn’t look like someone camping in it.

Woken up at 2 AM by a car with its music blasting; the guy was drunk. Lots of noise because of the deer nearby. However, it's a very pretty spot, though the toilets smell really bad.

Very nice place, next to the river, clean long drop toilets. Everything seems nice and pretty, and we didnt want follow other commens opinions but. People are actually strange here. Cars driven by quite questionable individuals pass by, they slow down to check you out (like they are looking for something) and then drive away again and this happens very, very often, like every 15-30 minutes.

في حد ذاته خيار جيد، مجاني ويقع في مركز. ومع ذلك، قمنا بالعودة قبل الظلام لأن هناك الكثير من العلامات الغريبة تتحرك حول حديقة السيارات. يجب أن يكون المكان آمنًا جدا، ولكننا شعرت أننا غير آمنة جدا وتحرك مرة أخرى.

مكان جميل مع غروب الشمس رائع. هناك صالون، ولكن ورقة صالون فارغة. لسوء الحظ، سافر الشباب هناك في السيارات، استمع إلى الموسيقى على الصوتيات الصوتية، وشرب الكحول. لأنه لم يبدو أنهم تركوا أي وقت قريب، ونحن لا نريد أي مشاكل، سافرنا إلى الموقع في حفلة الحرب، خجل حقيقي!

Pretty decent spot right on the beach. We arrived late on a Tuesday after all of the other sites were closed/empty on the way up from Napier. There were 2 other campers, and a few people stopped in the evening to use the toilets but didn’t bother us, even turned off highbeams! Long drop toilets are fairly clean, although bring toilet paper as I didn’t see any. Only problem was nearby cows moo-ing ALL NIGHT LONG. It must be mating season!
