A little tricky to find the start of the walk, because it’s at the end of the road right between normal houses. A short 20-30min return walk with spectacular views. You can even see the whole in the rock from the viewpoint in the end. You may spot some Kiwi-like birds.

You can now walk all the way from Flagstaff Hill in Russell on a new track to Tapeka Point. Combining both tracks made for a nice afternoon hike.

Great little hike to a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. Also if you park at the Rocky Bay reserve right before the trail head, there’s some cool rock formations/caves to explore before or after your hike!
