موقع صغير بالقرب من البحيرة. أنا أعتقد ربما 10 سيارات يمكن شحنها دون المضي قدما. الحصى كانت مشكلة، ولكن فقط إرسال مسحوق الخاص بك. بجانب البحيرة و 3 خيارات للسفر. علامات جيدة على الموقع. إخراج الحمام هو ما كنت تتوقع. هادئ للغاية في الليل. إذا كانت مشغولة للغاية أو الكثير من الحصى، الحديقة 7km على الطريق هو بديل جيد. العديد من الأماكن أكثر هناك. لا إشارة، لذلك إذا كنت تريد تحميل الخرائط مسبقا.

البحار جميلة للغاية، ولكن الموقع هو مجرد محطة سيارات عادية بدون أي رؤية. البحار ليست أفضل ولكن قابلة للاستخدام. لدينا خطط للاستمتاع هنا ليلًا، ولكن بسبب كمية كبيرة من البحار قررنا التحرك ... ونحن لا تزال ندعو إلى زيارة البحار، كما السباحة من خلال الغابة إلى نقطة النظر هي رائعة! لتصل إلى هناك عليك القيادة على طريق 20 كيلومتر من البحار، ولكنها في حالة جيدة ويجب أن تكون جيدة بالنسبة إلى أي سيارة فقط. ليس هناك إشارة.

سأبقى هنا ليلًا واحدًا وكان رائعًا! هناك حمام رخيص، بطاقات الفندق، والماء الذي تحتاج إلى أن يتم حرقًا قبل تناولها. إنه بجانب مزرعة القمح ويقع على بعد 6 كيلومترا فقط من بحيرة هوروكو! كما يدور الرأس، إنه طريق طويل من الخشب للحصول على هذا الموقع.

Us and one other van stayed much closer to the lake last night, there are two grass, muddy pull-ins. Was lovely. Very peaceful but more sandflies as closer to the water. Also that area is under CCTV, but fine if you don't mind that. Rained over night and other van nearly got bogged, so be careful. Find us on Instagram if you like @twoguysvanlife and @saltyskin

Nice and clean simple grassy campsite. No frills but we liked it also because it’s close to lake Hauroko and has less sandflies ... Because the Lake has tons of them ... Btw if you don’t like mice don’t park too close to the woods. The tiny cute things checked us out quickly to see if there was something to eat. They didn’t stay around for long tho. Probably best to keep food well packed up.

Super hike! Plan hiking boots, it does not hurt! We did it in 2h30, the view at the top is great, worth seeing. You can even sleep on the spot before or after!

The track to the lookout (3hr return) is definitely recommended. It’s very steep towards the stop and mucky in parts. A little tough if you’re not too fit but worth it!

The 3hr track to the lookout is very steep and pretty hard to climb, but definitely worth it! Very nice 180 degree view. If you're in good shape you'll probably need less than 3hrs. The bush walk is... Well, a bush walk. Nice but nothing special. Still, if you have time you should definitely check out this lake!

Currently very wet and some complicated river passages, it climbs well and it's slippery. You will not see anyone!

The Bluff Lookout Track (3 hours return) is very nice :) We did it in 2 hours. Be prepared to climb slippery roots. Very remote and quiet. Great lookout over the lake and mountains from the bluff.
