Great experience despite the crowds. Be careful to dig in the right spot and come at low tide. The water can be really hot in places, so it's best to dig with a shovel. You can rent one for an unlimited time at the café or shop at the beach entrance for $10. Parking is $5 per hour.

Totally worth a stop! Usually if you go holes will already have been dug so you don't have to dig unless you want to. To dig your own hole, recommend bringing a shovel as the sand and water can actually be very hot or scalding hot at times so it can burn your hands! We borrowed someone's shovel as they were nice to share with us. You have to find where the sand feels hot/warm to dig, not just dig anywhere to get the warm water. There are some spots on the beach hotter than others. Fun stop!

We went at low tide at about 9:30pm and it was such an amazing experience, under the stars in the hot sand! There were lots of people but plenty of space for everyone, and as it was a shared experience there was lots of friendly chatting and an excited atmosphere.

Nice for the experience, but the hot water is on a small space for a lot of people! I think it's more worth it very early in the morning or very late at night. Watch the tide well and come at low tide :)

Campervans not permitted to park at the beach itself. Possible before the beach but no direct access.

Amazing it’s a must must must! The pools were soooooooooo hot! It’s a self made spa on the beach! Get digging and pick the best spot!

Such a good day, general store next to parking lot hire spades. Short walk, get there about 30 Minutes before high tide and look for the bubbles on the sand and big before or after people’s holes. Be careful as some are really hot!

Much nicer in winter than when we went in summer. We spent hours there. Take a big spade. You really can only be there either side of low tide so make sure to check the tide tables
