Chtěli jsme tady zůstat, ale když jsme dorazili, vypadalo to jako opuštěný trailerpark. Mnoho starých kempů s závěsy uzavřenými stojícími po boku. Pršelo a mysleli jsme si, že je to trochu spookey, takže jsme zde nezůstali. Zůstali jsme na kempu vedle tohoto (velký pobyt!)

We went to the first campsite on this road...Mac Gregor and it was nice! The lake was nice and there are clean toilets. There is no drinking water only rainwater. We walked the track that started 2 km away from the campsite and it was beautiful.

Lovely drive to and location by the lake. Very nice lady on site cleaning the loos but we didn’t need to use them as we are self contained. Not expensive for the location , very quiet, chilled vibe and peaceful and great breakfast on picnic bench overlooking the water. Very easy to get to and so much better than the freedom site on the road just outside Tekapo which looked souless. No issue or even aware of permanent residents who are in a different section. We did have phone signal.

Avoid at all costs! $15 per person for absolutely no services, just a dry toilet with no toilet paper, no water, no showers, no internet connection. It's just a parking lot; the only positive point is the nice view of the small lake.

Very quiet and peacful but not spooky, beautiful view. Basic toilets, no water, some light in the toilets during night. Awesom place when you want get away from the busy Lake Tekapo. No cellular receiption

Podivná atmosféra, zdálo se, že je to jen pár míst k zaparkování. Krásný výhled, velmi tichý. Velmi podivná atmosféra s trvalými obyvateli a karavany. Téměř se tam cítí nežádoucí. pěkné místo k vidění a stojí za to se podívat. Nebylo to moje atmosféra, ale. Cítil jsem se, kdybych udělal hluk nebo něco špatného, byl bych vyhozen.

What a great place where to stay, away from the Tekapo Lake turmoil! We spent one night in this amazing place, under a beautiful night sky. We were completely alone. So peaceful, for only 20$. We loved it ! Toilets are fine and clean, with toilet paper provided.

Lovely spot with a nice view of the lake. As others have mentioned this is actually the lake McGregor campsite. A few permanent caravans on the site but plenty of space for campers with fairly level gravel spots. Toilets are pretty good for drop loos and hand sanitizer is available, you need to bring your own loo roll though. You will need cash for the honesty box, at $10 per head it was better value than most DOC sites we’ve stayed at and much nicer imo.

Dostanete se sem později ve dne a stále spousta místa! Fantastický výhled na jezero a úžasné hvězdy v noci! Loos jsou voňavé a vy potřebujete svůj vlastní loo roll. Ale tam je voda pro mytí atd. Ne pro pití. Existují stálí obyvatelé, ale oni jsou mimo táborové místo, které nejsou v jejich blízkosti. Každé místo má skvělý výhled velmi doporučuji!
