Wow, this is a gem. There’s only four spots up here at MOA Hut so we felt very lucky to have booked ahead in good time. The campground is located on a secluded farm following a beautiful drive around the east side of the lake. We felt at home straight away, the hut ticks all the right boxes; cosy, warm, clean (so clean!!), impeccable view of Mount Cook (on a clear day) and very quiet. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher.

It just kept getting better. I was looking at where to stay in the area, and wanting to see mount cook, and noticed there was a campsite with a view and opposite the mountain range. Then...it only had 4 spots so it was more likely to be quiet and encourage people who really want to experience the piece of the mountains. Then...an adventure along a gravel track along a beautiful turquoise lake, no one else on the road. Then...a beautiful camping spot with a perfect view of snow capped mountains.

Only come here if you have a guarantee of good weather. You're isolated, with 30 km of gravel road to contend with. Apparently, the view is superb. But with three days of rain and clouds, we couldn't verify that :( The Wi-Fi is good when it works; a power outage left us without a connection for 24 hours. The hosts are very friendly and do their best to make your stay enjoyable. The cost is expensive at $120.

We do have a generator on site, so all essential services were operating as normal, unfortunately the only thing affected was the Wi-Fi, which does require the main network to be functioning. As a remote high-country location, weather can be unpredictable. The road is a council maintained public road and while we do our best to make this clear before booking we understand this may not suit everyone. Sadly the weather itself is something we can't control. We appreciate your feedback”

Toto místo je naprosto úžasné. Musí být pro všechny. Cestujeme již několik týdnů a je to nejlepší kemp, který jsme navštívili.

Co neuvěřitelné místo. Výhledy jsou neporazitelné a vybavení je skvělé. Přál bych si, abychom mohli zůstat déle.

Zůstali jsme v samoobslužném domě na jednu noc na konci března. Ve srovnání s křoví silnic v Austrálii, křoví cesta dovnitř a ven byl sen! Jízda o něco rychleji a nebudete cítit hodnocení tolik. Stojí za jízdu, protože výhledy jsou fab. Amazing malá chata s koupelnou a kuchyní, krb, skvělý wifi. Hvězdy jsou úžasné taky. Miloval slyšet krávy v noci. Jediná věc, která mě zastavila, byla skutečnost, že byste mohli platit za lov jeřábu na nemovitosti.

Nádherné místo se vším, co se nachází v malém domku.

Krásné odlehlé místo, rozhodně jedinečné a jedno z našich oblíbených míst. Trasa je plavební, pokud bumpy ve velkém vanu, ale stojí za to. Chata má vše, co potřebujete s vařením atd, 2 horké sprchy. Omezené na 4 místa, takže se cítil velmi intimní a útulný. Majitelé velmi citlivý a popped na nás. Absolutně ohromující výhled na jezero Pukaki, Mount Cook a vedle žádné světelné znečištění pro krásný výhled na Mléčnou dráhu. Vřele doporučuji!
