Need a kiwi cash / penny fob. This is $5.00 from the camp ground warden. Facilities good clean and working well. Everything is $$ so you need to use the fob for a shower an power if on a powered site. No shops or fuel in Marokopa so you need to be self sufficient. Fishing is great. Campground quiet we stayed off season and it was delightful.

We stayed for 2 night over new years. Showers + toilets clean and tidy. Campground busy, But all quiet by 10pm. You need a Penny / Kiwi cash fob and account to book a site and enter and use the showers and other facilities. Cell tower right by campground so cracking coverage

Absolutely cleaned up from a few years ago, the last time we stayed it was overbooked, the toilets were not clean, people boosting around the campground on motorbikes, now they have a lovely couple (instead of self-help penny previously Kiwicash) that looking after the facility, the toilets are are beautifully cleaned, showers were hot and clean, the grounds looked loved again. Awesome to see!

Stayed one night just small tent/ motorbike.. $35 + $5 for cash card + $3 each shower.. constant noise of dogs, and 4wheeler bikes going up and down the road.. was only 3x campers here now I know why, dont stay here you'll thank me later plan you trips to stop over only

First time using kiwi cash system and was pretty easy. Quiet site as we were during the low season but was clean and tidy. First hot shower in weeks with great pressure. Was able to charge some of our things as it was quiet and friendly owner. Stayed for one night but would visit again

Don’t bother. Apart from the fact that the kiwi cash system is a pain to use, the facilities are very basic. Definitely not worth the fee. I was the only camper there and as a woman alone felt rather intimidated by a man who was hanging around the facilities with his two dogs for most of the time I was there.

First time we’d used KiwiCash, easy enough, just buy your fob (got ours from petrol station) and top up using the app. This place was empty except us so felt kind of eerie but would have been fine otherwise. paid for the night for us both. Toilets, laundry & bbq although we didn’t use any of them. Arrived late and left early.

What a treasure of a camp, clean , lovely showers and lots of happy campers.

Pretty disappointed. Toilets and showers needed a decent clean were horrible. Showers at far end weren't working, internet wasn't working and finally decided too 5-6hrs later. Laundry/Fridge area next to fish bench so you hose off and goes straight into this area and stinks. Fridges/freezers etc full of stinky bait or fish also needed a clean. Dogs wandering over camp. Appears it had been a better place with a kitchen/office/bbq area that is now empty and run down and Kiwi camp have taken over to keep running. Very basic site that needs a proper clean.

Entry tag system (all three readers) weren't working while we were there, but gates were stuck open which was handy. Nice site, facilities maintained to an acceptable standard. Decent fishing at the Marokopa River mouth for kahawai.
