Zůstal na jednu noc v samoobslužném vanu pro termální bazény a nebyl zklamaný. Značka nové toalety a další renovace v procesu.

We choose this site for its hot pools and we were not disappointed ! Like it has been said, showers and sanitories are a bit outdated but totally functionnal, and planned to be renoved soon. There is a laundry and the kitchen, very practical ! Staff was really friendly and helpfull, we needed an adaptator for pur water hoose and they lended us one. The only small downside was the dumping station for grey water, a bit to high to drain correctly our van. Maybe put a ramp to level up the vehicule ?

A quintessentially kiwi campground, if you're looking for something off the beaten track a little. The pools are lovely, staff friendly. Bathroom facilities were functional - probably need pulling down and rebuilding though. Hopefully part of the future implied plans!

We stayed here for one night as its about 20 mins from Hobbiton. Nice owners/staff, lovely hot water Recycling/laundry/kitchen facilities as well as dump station Loos/showers are older but well kept and very clean so not an issue

Worth staying here for the pools - especially the private Ramaroa one which has a kind of shabby atmospheric chic! Very friendly staff. The toilet block is a bit dated but was very clean. We didn't use the showers or the kitchen but noticed they had a little herb garden. Small playground and small shop.

“Thank you for your lovely review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the pools, especially the private Ramaroa pool, and that our staff made you feel welcome. We appreciate your feedback about the toilet block and other facilities. We’re excited to share that many of our amenities are on the way to being renovated, so there’s plenty to look forward to on your next visit, including refreshed showers, kitchen areas, and more. We can’t wait for you to come back and see the updates!”

Zůstal zde v stanu to byl klidný kemp s přátelským personálem a průměrnými zařízeními

“Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed a quiet stay in your tent and found our staff welcoming. We’re also continually updating and improving our facilities, so we hope you’ll notice even more on your next visit and come back to enjoy an even better experience.”

Dobré místo k pobytu. Prostorná místa a ne příliš zaneprázdněné (i ve vysoké sezóně). Dobré místo k pobytu, když jdete do Hobbiton. Přátelští lidé na recepci. Dobrá telefonní recepce a WIFI. Toalety a sprchy byly čisté.

“Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re glad you enjoyed our spacious sites, clean facilities, and friendly reception team. It’s great to hear you found the location convenient for visiting Hobbiton and appreciated the Wi-Fi.”

Stayed 2 nights, best WiFi ever as no mobile coverage!! Pool was terrific. Quiet campsite. Coffee @reception from 0900. However Amenity blocks are OLD and jaded and in need of refurbishment. Worst we experienced. Close to Hobbiton. 7 mins drive into town with lots of eating options. Beside Matamata golf course.

“Thank you for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed the quiet campsite, terrific pool, and reliable Wi-Fi, as well as the convenient location near Hobbiton and Matamata town. We appreciate your feedback regarding the amenity blocks. We’re excited to let you know that these facilities are going to be refurbished, so your next visit will offer a refreshed and more modern experience. We hope to welcome you back soon to see the improvements firsthand!”

Perfect spot with lovely views! We tend to stay at DOC campsites as prefer full nature, but this campsite was perfect to stop off to do our washing, get WiFi and have a reset. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, Debbie was a delight! Hot Spring are also worth a trip at $30 for two adults, relaxing and rejuvenating!
