On the first day of arriving in New Zealand, after picking up the rented campervan, I discovered that my luggage had been left at the airport. I have to wait until the next day when the airport staff start working to retrieve it, so I need to stay overnight in Auckland. I’m Chinese, and the nearby Chinese supermarket and church make me feel a sense of familiarity. At the same time, this spot is really nice — there are large lawns and parks around, and it’s not far from the shopping centre. In the evening, a lot of construction vehicles and workers gathered here for a meeting, but they left soon after. Overall, the scenery is good and it’s very quiet. Most importantly, it’s free.

Mens du kan høre bilerne langs vejen, især mærkbar på højdepunkter, er det næppe rowdy og gør et ret godt sted. Toiletterne er en lille gåtur (måske 1,5 km en vej) Følg den brolagte sti rundt til toiletterne. Bemærk: de er timet og låst over natten. Den næste nærmeste ville være Macca's / På butikkerne.

Mange parkeringspladser, rigtig flot stort græs med stilfulde bænke at lege på. Lige inde i Auckland, var jeg overrasket beacause billedet ikke ligner stedet overhovedet.

Det var en indisk fest i begivenhedsbygningen ved siden af, men det var stille ved 11 pm. Toiletterne er lidt væk, men teoretisk har alle en i deres bil.

Easy to get a spot but toilets are quite a walk.

Good for a rainy stormy night. The ground is solid, nearly no standing water.

Great play to stay. Quite big. Ormiston mall near with supermarket, gym and restaurants 20 min walking.

Nice place for a night. The problem is the nearest restrooms are at the Barry Curtis Playground.
