Brilliant little spot, a bit of a windy/gravelly road to get to it but it’s nice and quiet. Drop toilet is okay. No amazing view but good for a night. Make sure you check your email and keep the code they send you for the padlock

This is a great little hideaway! Eating area, washing up area and a non flush toilet. Great phone reception on NZ 2degrees! There is a gravel track for about 7kms and the roads have a lot of bends but not the worst! Would recommend staying! Lastly the gate is a little annoying I never received the gate code, to unlock the gate so what I did was, book online via Auckland Council website and rang there phone number - 09-301-0101 gave them my confirmation number and they gave me the code!

Opholdt her i slutningen af maj, vi var de eneste der. tog omkring 20 min ned mudder / grus vej til stedet. Godt sted, hvis du planlægger at bruge de vandrestier, omkring en time gå ned til Piha, ellers bare et lille felt i midten af ingensteds. Toilet rent og fyldt med loo roll. De e-mailer dig koden for porten til at komme ind, har brug for at give låsen lidt af en wiggle / push til at åbne.

Okay, hvis du har en grund til at være der ellers bruge 44 og gå ned ad bakken til Piha.

Fin nok sted for en nat, skal du booke og der er meget begrænset reception på lejren og vejen til det.
