Gorgeous spot with beautiful sunset and sunrise views. The beach is beautiful and ok fishing. Right next to the train tracks so a bit of a sleepless night with the trains going through.

Den kvindelige værge kom til vores van (en ford transit) og fortalte os, at hun troede, at vores grønne kort var en falsk (selvom inspiceret og udstedt af NZMCA) ønskede at se vores papirarbejde verificere det. Fortalt hende, at hun kunne tjekke på online-registret, og hun sagde, at hun ikke havde sin telefon. også spurgte os, om vi var NZMCA medlemmer, så måtte tage hende og pege på vores klistermærke og numre. Hun ønskede at komme ind og inspicere vores toilet indstilling.

Jeg ser nogle af de titewads klager over Sandpit ikke være gratis. C'mon du meanies, du'e leve livet i relativ frihed, så ikke være så elendige. Dette sted er fantastisk. Virkelig venlige Custodians , Steve , Max og Barbara. En dag kommer de kommercielle fiskere vil blive forbudt fra at voldtage bugten , så vent indtil da, hvis du er virkelig ivrig efter at få fisk. Det er svært at gå lige nu. Tog , godt hvad forventer du fra tog, de er støjende, og cool . Love 'em eller had 'em.

Beautiful beachside campground. Well maintained, clean, and large clearly marked sites. Friendly and really helpful hosts. Direct access to beach. Dog friendly. Allowed my brother and his wife to stay for lunch at no extra charge. Only accepts cash. Will definitely be back. Dog thought he was in heaven

We stopped here to cook lunch on our way past. What a lovely place, on the beach and very happy for us to stop for an hour at no charge! Beautifully kept up! Thank you team.

Close to beach, plenty of room. Tidy site. Trains are a bit noisy but don’t come thru often.

Nice spot right on the beach. Unfortunately there is some permanent campers residing there who have noisy generators going at all times of the day and up to 10.30pm. We noted that they were NZMCA members but had no regard for the rules
