Sick spot, pelican campground site 7. So viel widelife und sehr gut gepflegte site.

Very quiet spot, beautiful sunset and lookout over the Coorong is worth a visit. Flies and mosquitos weren't an issue but campsite number 6 was one huge ant nest. The neighbouring ones were a bit better, campsite 5 had views of the water.

Been there twice, some larger van sites have Coorong views. Each morning we were greeted by the local sleepy and frilled necked lizards. Emus and kangaroos walk past our site and there are thousands of birds feeding in the lagoon. There is some shelter from wind but few shade trees around. We didn't have a problem with flies or mossies. Toilets are too far to walk to but a quick drive there will discover hundreds of chook like birds and dozens of rabbits feeding and playing near the boat ramp. The professional cocklers are bringing their catch from the ocean across the dunes. There are few elevated shelter sheds capturing the amazing surrounding views . All in all a very peaceful experience and only 20 minutes from Meningie. Kayaking will be our next adventure here.

Didnt end up staying here. No grassy areas, ants everywhere, the place stunk badly although understandable as it is next to a swamp. If you are travelling east, go stay at 42 mile crossing camp instead. Its way nicer.

Great spot to relax and take in the views, nice walking the beach, watch out for kangaroos, emus, frill neck and sleepy lizards. Was a bit cool and windy but no flies or mozzies. Toilets were a long way from camp (so a drive may be necessary)

Don't forget to book the site online via SA Parks prior to your arrival. $15 per night, also payable if you are spending the night on the lake/s. Must be fully self contained. There are no facilities here. Toilets are a decent 800m walk. There are only a few campsites at Parnka Point, Pelican campground, suited to caravans, camper trailers, RV or roof top tent. Most are small grassed sites, some are unlevel and some contain rocks in the middle of the site. Not far from the water front. Heaps of flies and mosquitos. Pets are not allowed.

Beautiful spot and only 1 other camper couple, very windy and lots of little flies but no problem if you have a campervan
