We wanted to stay here but when we arrived it looked like an abandoned trailerpark. A lot of old campers with the curtains closed standing side by side. It was raining and we thought it was a bit spookey so did not stay here. We stayed at the campground next to this one (great stay!) And while we stayed there, we saw 2 other vans drive up to the other campground and turn around as well.

We went to the first campsite on this road...Mac Gregor and it was nice! The lake was nice and there are clean toilets. There is no drinking water only rainwater. We walked the track that started 2 km away from the campsite and it was beautiful.

Lovely drive to and location by the lake. Very nice lady on site cleaning the loos but we didn’t need to use them as we are self contained. Not expensive for the location , very quiet, chilled vibe and peaceful and great breakfast on picnic bench overlooking the water. Very easy to get to and so much better than the freedom site on the road just outside Tekapo which looked souless. No issue or even aware of permanent residents who are in a different section. We did have phone signal.

Avoid at all costs! $15 per person for absolutely no services, just a dry toilet with no toilet paper, no water, no showers, no internet connection. It's just a parking lot; the only positive point is the nice view of the small lake.

Very quiet and peacful but not spooky, beautiful view. Basic toilets, no water, some light in the toilets during night. Awesom place when you want get away from the busy Lake Tekapo. No cellular receiption

Seltsame Atmosphäre, schien nur ein paar Plätze zu sein, um zu parken. Schöne Aussicht, sehr sehr ruhig. Sehr seltsame Atmosphäre mit ständigen Bewohnern und Caravans. Fast unerwünscht fühlen dort. schöner Ort zu sehen und es lohnt sich zu überprüfen. War nicht meine Atmosphäre aber. Gefühlt, wenn ich einen Lärm oder etwas falsch gemacht, würde ich abgeworfen werden.

Was für ein großartiger Ort, um zu bleiben, weg von den Unruhen des Tekapo Lake! Wir verbrachten eine Nacht in diesem erstaunlichen Ort, unter einem schönen Nachthimmel. Wir waren völlig allein. So friedlich, für nur 20$. Wir haben es geliebt ! Toiletten sind fein und sauber, mit Toilettenpapier zur Verfügung gestellt.

Schöner Ort mit einem schönen Blick auf den See. Wie andere bereits erwähnt haben, ist dies tatsächlich der Lake McGregor Campingplatz. Ein paar dauerhafte Caravans auf der Website, aber viel Platz für Camper mit ziemlich niedrigen Grabenplätzen. Toiletten sind ziemlich gut für Drop Loos und Hand Sanitizer verfügbar, Sie müssen Ihre eigene Loa Roll bringen. Sie benötigen Bargeld für die Ehrlichkeit Box, bei $ 10 pro Kopf es war besser Wert als die meisten DOC-Sites, an denen wir geblieben sind und viel schöner imo.

Holen Sie sich hier später am Tag und noch viel Platz! Fantastische Aussicht auf den See und erstaunliche Sterne in der Nacht! Die Loos sind duftend und Sie brauchen Ihre eigene Loa Roll. Aber es gibt Wasser zum Waschen usw. nicht zum Trinken. Es gibt dauerhafte Bewohner, aber sie sind aus dem Campingplatz sind Sie nicht in der Nähe von ihnen. Jeder Ort hat eine großartige Aussicht sehr zu empfehlen!
