It just kept getting better. I was looking at where to stay in the area, and wanting to see mount cook, and noticed there was a campsite with a view and opposite the mountain range. Then...it only had 4 spots so it was more likely to be quiet and encourage people who really want to experience the piece of the mountains. Then...an adventure along a gravel track along a beautiful turquoise lake, no one else on the road. Then...a beautiful camping spot with a perfect view of snow capped mountains.

Only come here if you have a guarantee of good weather. You're isolated, with 30 km of gravel road to contend with. Apparently, the view is superb. But with three days of rain and clouds, we couldn't verify that :( The Wi-Fi is good when it works; a power outage left us without a connection for 24 hours. The hosts are very friendly and do their best to make your stay enjoyable. The cost is expensive at $120.

10/10 would recommend! Beautiful view, lovely cabin, very nice owners. Perfect for anyone who wants a secluded nature experience but still want to be comfortable.

Dieser Ort ist absolut erstaunlich. Ein Muss für alle. Wir sind seit mehreren Wochen unterwegs und dies ist der beste Campingplatz, den wir besucht haben. Unglaubliche Aussicht und wirklich komfortable Einrichtungen.

Was für ein unglaublicher Ort. Die Aussicht ist unschlagbar und die Einrichtungen sind großartig. Ich wünschte, wir hätten länger bleiben können.

Wir blieben für eine Nacht in einem selbst eingeschlossenen Motorhaus Ende März. Im Vergleich zu Grabenstraßen in Australien war die Grabenstraße ein Traum! Fahren Sie etwas schneller und Sie werden die Bewertung nicht so viel spüren. Das Fahren lohnt sich, weil die Aussicht fab. erstaunliche kleine Hütte mit Badezimmer und Küche, Kamin, großes WLAN. Die Sterne sind auch erstaunlich. Ich liebte es, die Kühe nachts zu hören. Das einzige, was mich abgehalten hat, war die Tatsache, dass Sie zahlen konnten, um Hirsch auf dem Grundstück zu jagen.

Fantastischer Ort mit allem, was Sie in der kleinen Hütte nieden.

Schöner abgelegener Ort, definitiv einzigartig und einer unserer Lieblingsplätze. Die Grabenbahn ist navigierbar, wenn Sie in einem großen Van stürzen, aber es lohnt sich. Die Hütte hat alles, was Sie mit Kochen usw. benötigen, 2 heiße Duschen. Begrenzt auf 4 Plätze, so fühlte sich sehr intim und gemütlich. Besitzer sehr reagierend und popped über, um uns zu überprüfen. Absolut atemberaubende Aussicht auf den See Pukaki, Mount Cook und neben keine leichte Verschmutzung für schöne Aussicht auf die Milchstraße.

Stunning spot, well worth the money. Unique location and the best site we stayed on in NZ by far. We were lucky and the weather was beautiful so we had the most amazing view of the stars and the milky way. Owners are lovely and very responsive. Would definitely stay again. Word of warning though - you need to travel 33km up a gravel road which is a little bumpy and dusty but this place is absolutely worth it 10/10
