Großartig für die inter Island Fähren oder Zugang zur Queen Charlotte Track. Einrichtungen sauber und funktionell, aber veraltet. Achten Sie auf die Ziegen auf der Klippe über der Eisenbahnlinie.

Surprised by the negative comments. The welcome was friendly and the sites are a good size. Amenities are really good: nice hot showers, a large kitchen, and everything is clean. Very quiet at night. Honestly, a perfect place to stay in Picton.

The owner was very rude. When we wanted to check in, he told me that we still had to pay. As we already put our payment details in while booking I was skeptical and said that I wanted to check my banking app first if nothing had been charged (because all the other times I had booked a campsite it was that way). He then responded that we could drive to the next campsite if I didn’t trust him and just walked out of the room. Even though there was nothing charged I found his behavior very rude.

Excellent service. I made a last-minute booking because I was crossing by ferry at the last minute, and they reserved a very comfortable and warm cabin for me. When I called to explain that we would be arriving on the last-minute ferry, they said it was very understandable and not to worry, that they would leave the keys next to the main office. It's also worth mentioning that the showers had wonderfully hot water, the laundry service was spectacular with a washer and dryer, and the kitchen was fully equipped.

Infrastructure is bit old otherwise it was nice place to stay. Wifi was not free. Bathrooms, kitchen, fresh water to refill, waste dump, power site all facilities were good. Beautiful morning view, we enjoyed when train was crossing over.

As already mentioned, the infrastructure is a bit outdated, but everything was very clean. Showers were freshly painted and hot. The kitchen and appliances were clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for two nights for hiking. At €20 per night, it was perfectly fine. Many campsites in Germany cost more.

Meine Buchung wurde bestätigt, eine Kabine mit Dusche / Toilette / TV / Handtücher / Haartrockner. Bei der Ankunft sagten sie, dass es einen Softwarefehler gab, nur grundlegende Kabinen waren verfügbar, und die Software-Probleme konnten nicht behoben werden. Dies scheint ein Geschäftsmodell zu sein: ein billiges Angebot, und bei der Ankunft wird Ihnen eine Kabine mit nichts angeboten. Die Kabine stinkt schrecklich nach fester Zigarettenrauch, und die öffentliche Toilette stinkt auch nach Zigaretten. Besser nicht! Kein gutes Aufenthalt!!! Jeep weg!!!!!!

Guter Ort, um eine Nacht zu verbringen, aber nicht mehr, etwas veraltete Infrastruktur und kein kostenloses WLAN!

Unsere Fähre von der nördlichen Insel kam um 11:45 Uhr und wir riefen am Nachmittag, wenn wir später einchecken konnten, sagten sie, dass sie nur aufstehen und am nächsten Morgen einen Platz nehmen und bezahlen - was perfekt für uns funktionierte und wir waren dankbar für eine einfache 5-minütige Fahrt von der Fähre. Sie können den Zug am frühen Morgen hören und die Duschen / Küche / Badezimmer sind ziemlich unterwegs, aber in Ordnung für eine Nacht / Fähre-Lösung:)
