Nice campsite with view of mountains. There were definitely more vehicles than the advertised number of spaces (we had booked in advance but guess some people hadn’t). One long drop toilet and sink but not drinking water.

Spent a quiet night with warm temperatures and a few mosquitoes. One clean pit toilet, a sink with water tap (non potable) outside. Two picnic tables. 6 spots, have to book online only. Reception 4G weak. Well maintained, nature smells of honey, magpies singing and river flowing can be heard.

Ideal place for us to stop on our way down south after the state highway was closed. I’d recommend booking through the DOC website in advance as the signal is very weak once you get there - although we managed in the end. Long drop toilet was clean and didn’t smell too bad, despite what some of the other reviews said. We must have gone shortly after theyd be cleaned! Beautiful & quiet spot surrounded by nature. No noise at night :)

This is a DOC campsite that requires a reservation ($ or free with the annual pass). The access road also leads to the Turoa ski resort. There are 6 well-defined pitches so you're not stuck to the neighbors. Charming little quiet spot surrounded by trees and mountains, close to a short hike. Very decent dry toilets, a sink with a non-potable water tap

Schöner, sauberer Ort, würde gerne wiederkommen!Wir waren hier eine Nacht, es war sehr ruhig und wir schliefen wirklich gut.

Aufenthalt die eine Nacht. Buchte nicht online vor der Ankunft, aber tat dies einmal hier. Glücklicherweise ein Platz übrig. Fabulous ruhig Ort. Toilette war ein bisschen anspruchsvoll, aber ok. Sehen viel schlimmer. Große Informationstabelle an den Wänden ( Druck v winzig). Gehen Sie zurück auf die Brücke auf der Straße und es gibt einen schönen Fußweg unten am Fluss. Sterne fabelhaft in der Nacht.

Übernachtet hier für eine Nacht im Camper. Schöne kleine Fläche mit Zugang zu vielen Spaziergängen. Kein Trinkwasser und Toilette riecht, aber tut die Arbeit. Fühlen Sie sich sicher und sehr ruhig, obwohl die Website voll war (6 Vans) stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie online zuerst buchen.

Ein schöner, friedlicher Campingplatz, der unter dem Mount Ruapehu liegt. Nur 12 Räume müssen Sie sicherstellen, dass Sie online buchen, obwohl wir unseren Campingplatz am selben Tag ohne Probleme gebucht haben. Es ist eine DOC-Website, also wenn Sie den Campingplatz haben, ist es kostenlos zu bleiben. Grundlegende Annehmlichkeiten mit nur einer Toilette vor Ort und Picknickbänken zum Essen.
