Nach einem 30-minütigen Telefonanruf mit einer schönen Person in Auckland City Rat, Parks und Erholung, half sie mir, die Buchung zu machen und sprach mit mir über ihre Website. Die Toiletten waren sauber, die Rangers Hunde waren sehr begeistert und die Tuis waren in vollem Flug. Parkiert auf einem flachen Bereich hinter dem Hauptgebäude, leider keine Aussicht, sondern friedlich. Nur einen Spaziergang vom Strand entfernt?

Es gibt 2 SCC-Standorte, 1 Sommersaison & 1 Winter, der letzte hinter dem HQ bldg, der erste ein gravelter Bereich auf den Wohnungen in der Nähe von Blackberry Flat Camp. Überprüfen Sie die ARP-Karte (über den Link unter "Kontakt") für den Standort der Sommersaison. Keine Anzeige! Das Buchungssystem ein PITA & jeder ARP Pax wird Ihnen etwas anderes sagen. Gen up bevor Sie anrufen. Persevere. ? ~ Puriri Grove gehen & Waharau Bush gehen sehr wert. Der Park ist ein Kredit für das Personal.

This is the parking lot behind the information center. Take the little road to the left hand side. There is no signage indicating you can camp there and no one on the phone at the reservation line has ANY clue where to find it. But this is it. Small quiet gravel parking lot next to cow pasture with water tap and clean bathrooms. As a note: Reservation system is absolutely miserable. Worst way to pay for a campsite of any I have experienced in NZ.

Nothing is indicated for the winter. Super clean toilet place and plenty of space then an open space available. Cool !

Excellent place to spend a couple of days - good walking tracks (short to long trips), quiet, lovely and a very pleasant place.

Beautiful area well maintained grounds. Not very clear on where you can park, astonished that it was deserted when the very average top 10 campground further down the road was full. The lack of people gave it an eerie feeling, couldn't help but think that it is a very under utilised resource maybe this is because the lack of clarity on the booking and payments (the same can be said for the other regional park campgrounds in the area).
