Schöner Spaziergang, aber der Junge hat es eine Weile gedauert. Eine volle 3 Stunden ohne Dawdling. Das heißt, es gibt Gelegenheiten für Abkürzungen, die wir uns entschieden haben, nicht zu nehmen. Die Brücken sind erstaunlich, und der Spaziergang auf der anderen Seite des Flusses (nicht auf der Stadtseite) ist definitiv der beste Teil.

Really recommend this walk to anyone who enjoys being attacked by giant insects. Take a strolle and listen to the lovely sound of the highway next to you. The walk only runs next to the river for the first fifteen minutes. Almost no lookout points to enjoy the landscape and nature.

The trail is very nice and definitely worth! Beautiful way through the bush and along the river with great views of the river and the mountains.

Great loop river trail to cycle all the way to the Trout Centre and back. Trail both sides of river and well worth doing.

Worth walking between the road and suspension bridge, good views over the town on the sunny day. Not sure what people are expecting by this walk, it's not going to be the alpine crossing.

We just walked as far as the trail coming away from the river. Nothing super special but a nice place to stop on a sunny day and watch the fishers.

The walk is simple and easy.... Plenty of entrances to the river but you are walking within bush which does prevent views to the river on the actual walk. Other comments are harsh - I'd recommend. Also -DOG FRIENDLY! They love it!!

Very boring track with just 1 point of view on the bridge , I don't recommend ! Nothing special to see ...

Didn't find the "trail" at first, then it is very boring. You pretty much never get to see the river. With some luck you can hear it. From the bridge you can get a pretty good look at the few fishers. But absolutely nothing special. You could mark any bridge in New Zealand with a pink thumb... we immediately drove away...

I cannot recommend this place, you'll hear more of the traffic noise than of the river. No sandflies, since you don't see the water, but at least the trees are larger at night than outside. The trail is signposted for fishermen only.
