Was a decent place to stay on our way to Auckland from Taranaki. I paid while in a not so great service zone and did not get a confirmation booking number and we had to unfortunately pay a second time. The bathrooms were clean enough and we appreciated hot showers after a long day. Not much of a campground more so a gravel lot.

Nice and easy to find, owner was lovely and facilities were clean. Cafe shut at 3pm which was the only negative.

Nice place with a nice sunset on the mountains. Hot shower and clean amenities. Owner friendly and talkative, a really nice experience !

The campground was very nice including hot showers and toilets. However, the manager of it was very rude right from the beginning on and was only coming to us when he wanted to collect his “money,money,money” as he used to say or when he wanted to complain about something. In addition, he was very awkward to women, so, I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here. Unacceptable behaviour!!!

Hatte die beste Zeit auf diesem Campingplatz, der Gastgeber (Alan) war so freundlich und einladend. $12pp aber enthält WiFi, Toiletten und heiße Duschen.

Wir hatten eine sehr gute Erfahrung! Der Besitzer war einer der schönsten Menschen, die wir in Neuseeland getroffen haben und kam, um uns mehrmals zu überprüfen, und auch nur um zu sprechen. Er war nur so ein süßer Kerl. Wir blieben nur für eine Nacht, also brauchte ich nicht die Dusche, so dass ich nichts darüber sagen. aber die Toilette war sauber. würde auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

What can I say… probably the worst camp ever created in NZ. The owner, on the one hand racist, on the other hand embittered, spent his evening watching us, even threatening us so that we would go to bed. The next morning, he asked us several times not to forget our trash, as if we were going to leave and leave our trash behind. Surveillance worthy of Moscow in the USSR, and unacceptable racism. I don't recommend it at all, go to the next town, you will be better received there.

Great place to stay! Only 8 dollars per person. Super friendly host and clean toilets.

Camping hier ist 8 Dollar, nicht 6. Wenn Sie ihre weitere 8 Dollar duschen wollen und es ist kalt. Andernfalls ein sehr freundlicher Kerl, der alles überwacht! Würde hier wieder bleiben, aber würde nicht für die Dusche wieder bezahlen.
