Eine nette Person, die hier blieb, erzählte uns, dass ein Stromausfall das Tor und mehrere Leistungspunkte zum Scheitern verursacht hat. Es gibt nur eine Dusche aufgrund eines gebrochenen Duschkopfes, aber es ist heiß und kraftvoll. Es wäre großartig, wenn es vor der Ankunft eine Kommunikation über die gebrochenen Teile gäbe, so dass wir nicht seit Jahren am Zugang sitzen und auf einen bezahlenden Kunden vertrauen, um zu helfen

heiße Duschen mit der Penny-Schlüsselkarte! Sie können eine bei BP (im Gegensatz zum Campingplatz) kaufen und Geld für heiße Duschen direkt außerhalb des Lagers bezahlen! Sie müssen dafür kein Gast sein. erstaunlich! heiße Duschen! das Wasser wird entsperren, sobald Sie Ihre Penny-Schlüsselkarte tippen :)

Not for us, too noisy on busy road, prefer a more scenic place.

Great and calm place to park for the night. You need to book the spot on the Penny app and then use your key to open the gate. 3$ for hot showers. The facilities were very clean.

Site feels very new and fresh, extremely clean facilities and lots of them. Well organised and lovely welcome at reception.

Super location in the town. Hokitika is a tourist town with a nice selection of shops, restaurants and cafes. Our first use of Penny sites, love them

To get a penny card you have to go to the gas station on the other side of the road. There is free wifi in the area to download go-penny, otherwise follow the instructions in the app. Otherwise a nice area that is clean and neat, but you pay to get water and use the hotplate.

Great facilities for great value. We paid $20 for the night and then additional $3 to use the shower and about $2 to properly cook on a proper stove. You have to buy the Penny card key from the BP store opposite the road but then don’t have to worry about cash anymore…

Excellent toilet, shower and laundry facilities. Pennycard required for showers and laundry. Central location in Hokitika is handy if overnighting.

Honestly not upset about the KiwiCoins, this was the cheapest place we could find and we got exactly what we needed. If you need a lot amenities it may not be ideal for you but was good for us. If you need to do laundry though definitely just go to Lizzie’s Laundry (not on the app for some reason). Don’t use the wifi though, it’s very slow. Overall we enjoyed our one night stay :)
