Der Spaziergang ist insgesamt sehr schön, es gibt Orte zum Schwimmen und einen sehr schönen Pfad. Aber Sie müssen vor und nach der Wanderung 1,5 km entlang der Straße laufen.

Start of the walk to see the river up to the Lookout. Magnificent forest and river. We wish we had more time to hike.

Beautiful walk that follows the river. Looks like something from the lord of the rings at places. Nikau palms dotted along the track and across the river. Would be nice for a swim at various parts. Also a good place to see weka birds! We continued on to the extension of this track, the Porarari Loop Track. It took us steadily uphill quite a bit, then down the other side of the mountain, across a river and into a wide valley with nice vegetation (nikau palms etc) on the side. The final bit of this extended loop track is along by the road (mostly on footpath) and beachside to the starting carpark. It’s 11.5km if you do this extension and took us over two hours. Beautiful!

This track is open. Nice bush walk! we saw a kiwi bird between the trees! you walk next to the river. Although the forest is very beautiful after an hour it is a bit boring.

A section is still closed. To an walk for 10-15 min before getting to the closed section. Very peaceful and nice walk along the river. Nice lace to stretch your legs and get some quiet. The rest of the track (above the closed one) is open but you can only access it from the village.

Really nice walk 35-40min return as the track is still closed after 1km. Note saying closed til 01.08.19 at least..
