It takes a 4x4 to access the site, the road is a bit complicated to find, deflated your tyres. You have to cross the entire beach and the location is at the bottom. You have to have your own toilet.

Absolutely the best camp I have done in NSW. Do not venture there without 4WD but if you like wild places go for it!

Nice spot close to the beach (no beach camping). No toilets. 4WD only, sand is a bit soft. Great spot !

Very difficult terrain! Do not attempt to drive to this campsite unless you are highly experienced in soft, deep sand driving, and know your vehicle can make it. We were stuck on the beach all night, only just above the tide line, after being assured our vehicle could make it when it couldn't!! You MUST let down your tyres for this one but make sure not too much. Traction aids would definitely help. Also beware if your car can usually drive on sand but is weighed down. Try to drive it at low tide only.

How many times have I recovered Ill prepared vehicles for this beach. All wheel drives like foresters ... Don’t do it...4 wheel drives with diff lock capability only. Have a rated tow point on your car so no one risks being hit by a flying tow rope or winch when the tie down point breaks. Lower tyre pressures to about 16 psi. Have plenty of momentum on the soft stuff. Never.. Never try winching or strapping a tow ball. You will die.

Road is open, access next to Middle Rock holiday resort! Serious 4wd only! And let tyres down to 17-18psi.... Even with a 4wd you will scrape out on the sand! Campground looks great, but camping on a beach and watching the sunrise is always awesome! Bring shovel and recovery gear
