Only two parking spaces are permitted without reservation. No tents allowed. View of a lovely landscaped park. Clean toilets and drinking water available. Wi-Fi available at the local bookstore, within walking distance of the parking area.

2 freedom camping spots near the centre of town, available to park from 8pm-8am (someone came to check us just passed 8pm). Access to clean free toilets, drinking water, picnic tables and a BBQ (2$ coins required). Seems to be in demand as a lot of vans had to turn away!

Yea, some pricks always park here outside the hours so it's hard outside of winter, go call DOC to give them a fine if you feel like it. ALSO! Hanmer amenity area is also for not certified vehicles if you are looking for a place, currently incorrectly marked as self contained only in campermate. Emailed DOC who said its only the area 500m further up the road that is self contained only as toilets aren't close even though the road seems to be currently closed to go further up.

Lovely place. Only 2 spaces. Me and my wife waited in a normal car park just next to them from 12pm, went to the pools at 6pm. When we came back around 7pm to park our van, it was full. It pissed us off that we waited so long. You are only allowed to park there from 8pm to 8am.

Great spot in a small quiet & dark carpark, I got there a little after 8pm and there was one spot left. Good little toilet cubicle with clean toilets and bins, and it is right next to a 24/7 laundromat, that has 2 powerpoint outlets! I popped on my laundry & charged up my devices while waiting. Spot is a 5 minute walk from everything! Loved it here! One of the better camp sites i’ve stayed in, despite it being away from nature.

NON SELF CONTAINED - μπορείτε να μείνετε στο Hanmer DOC Base & Car Park incl διανυκτέρευση. μίλησα με έναν τύπο από το DOC και μόλις με έστειλε σε αυτό το μέρος.

Κατάφερα να πάρω τη δεύτερη θέση, αλλά φαντάζομαι ότι αυτά συχνά γεμίζουν αμέσως. Είχαμε την τύχη σε μια ήσυχη ημέρα της εβδομάδας μετά τις σχολικές διακοπές τελείωσαν. Είναι στο πάρκινγκ για ένα όμορφο μικρό πάρκο με τουαλέτες. Εύκολο περπάτημα σε εστιατόρια κ.λπ. στο Hanmer Springs.

Περιορισμένος χώρος περιστροφής και όχι καν κοντά στο επίπεδο, το συμβούλιο προειδοποίησε επίσης για πιθανά πρόστιμα αν παρκάρετε εδώ πριν από τις 8 μ.μ. Πάρτε την επιχείρησή σας αλλού και κατευθυνθείτε στο αποθεματικό του ποταμού αντί.

Θα συνιστούσα να φτάσετε νωρίς καθώς οι θέσεις είναι γεμάτες γρήγορα.Το συμβούλιο δεν ελέγχει τη συμμόρφωση, αν παρκάρετε σε ένα μη καθορισμένο σημείο που πιθανότατα θα σας ζητηθεί να προχωρήσετε.

Arrived at 7 and the 2 spots were already taken by self contained... this is really annoying as this is the only free camp available for non self contained in town.. PLS SELF CONTAINED DO NOT PARK HERE you have many options in and around the town !
