We wanted to stay here but when we arrived it looked like an abandoned trailerpark. A lot of old campers with the curtains closed standing side by side. It was raining and we thought it was a bit spookey so did not stay here. We stayed at the campground next to this one (great stay!) And while we stayed there, we saw 2 other vans drive up to the other campground and turn around as well.

We went to the first campsite on this road...Mac Gregor and it was nice! The lake was nice and there are clean toilets. There is no drinking water only rainwater. We walked the track that started 2 km away from the campsite and it was beautiful.

Lovely drive to and location by the lake. Very nice lady on site cleaning the loos but we didn’t need to use them as we are self contained. Not expensive for the location , very quiet, chilled vibe and peaceful and great breakfast on picnic bench overlooking the water. Very easy to get to and so much better than the freedom site on the road just outside Tekapo which looked souless. No issue or even aware of permanent residents who are in a different section. We did have phone signal.

Avoid at all costs! $15 per person for absolutely no services, just a dry toilet with no toilet paper, no water, no showers, no internet connection. It's just a parking lot; the only positive point is the nice view of the small lake.

$15 cash per person! Poor reception. Great campsite! Parked up closer to McGreggor and was beautiful

Very quiet and peacful but not spooky, beautiful view. Basic toilets, no water, some light in the toilets during night. Awesom place when you want get away from the busy Lake Tekapo. No cellular receiption

Τι υπέροχο μέρος για να μείνετε, μακριά από την αναταραχή της λίμνης Tekapo! Περάσαμε μια νύχτα σε αυτό το καταπληκτικό μέρος, κάτω από έναν όμορφο νυχτερινό ουρανό. Ήμασταν εντελώς μόνοι. Τόσο ειρηνικά, για μόλις 20$. Μας άρεσε! Τα μπάνια είναι ωραία και καθαρά, με χαρτί τουαλέτας που παρέχεται.

Ωραίο μέρος με μια ωραία θέα στη λίμνη. Όπως άλλοι έχουν αναφέρει αυτό είναι στην πραγματικότητα η λίμνη McGregor κάμπινγκ. Λίγα μόνιμα καραβάνια στην περιοχή, αλλά αρκετό χώρο για τους κατασκηνωτές με αρκετά επίπεδα σημεία βρύσης. Οι τουαλέτες είναι αρκετά καλό για να ρίξει χαλαρά και απολυμαντικό χεριών είναι διαθέσιμη, θα πρέπει να φέρετε το δικό σας loo roll, αν και. Θα χρειαστείτε μετρητά για το κουτί ειλικρίνειας, σε $ 10 ανά κεφάλι ήταν καλύτερη αξία από τις περισσότερες ιστοσελίδες DOC που έχουμε μείνει και πολύ πιο ωραία imo.

Got here later in the day and still plenty of space! Fantastic views of the lake and amazing stars at night! The loos are smelly and you do need your own loo roll. But there is water for washing up etc not for drinking. There are permanent residents but they are out of the camp site your not near them. Every spot has a great view highly recommend!
