Nice campsite with view of mountains. There were definitely more vehicles than the advertised number of spaces (we had booked in advance but guess some people hadn’t). One long drop toilet and sink but not drinking water.

Spent a quiet night with warm temperatures and a few mosquitoes. One clean pit toilet, a sink with water tap (non potable) outside. Two picnic tables. 6 spots, have to book online only. Reception 4G weak. Well maintained, nature smells of honey, magpies singing and river flowing can be heard.

Ideal place for us to stop on our way down south after the state highway was closed. I’d recommend booking through the DOC website in advance as the signal is very weak once you get there - although we managed in the end. Long drop toilet was clean and didn’t smell too bad, despite what some of the other reviews said. We must have gone shortly after theyd be cleaned! Beautiful & quiet spot surrounded by nature. No noise at night :)

This is a DOC campsite that requires a reservation ($ or free with the annual pass). The access road also leads to the Turoa ski resort. There are 6 well-defined pitches so you're not stuck to the neighbors. Charming little quiet spot surrounded by trees and mountains, close to a short hike. Very decent dry toilets, a sink with a non-potable water tap

Υπέροχο, καθαρό μέρος, θα ήθελα να επιστρέψω! Μείναμε εδώ μια νύχτα, ήταν πολύ ήσυχο και κοιμόμασταν πολύ καλά.

Μείναμε μια νύχτα. Δεν κλείσαμε online πριν από την άφιξη, αλλά το έκανα εδώ. Ευτυχώς ένας χώρος έμεινε. Φανταστικό ήσυχο μέρος. Η τουαλέτα ήταν ελαφρώς προκλητική αλλά εντάξει. Είδε πολύ χειρότερα. Μεγάλο πίνακα πληροφοριών στους τοίχους ( εκτύπωση v μικρή). Περπατήστε πίσω στη γέφυρα στο δρόμο και υπάρχει ένα όμορφο μονοπάτι κάτω από το ποτάμι. Αστέρια φανταστικά τη νύχτα. Υπέροχη ήσυχη ήσυχη νύχτα που πέρασε εδώ.

Μείναμε εδώ για μια νύχτα στο καμπίρ. Υπέροχη μικρή περιοχή με πρόσβαση σε πολλές πεζοπορίες. Δεν υπάρχει πόσιμο νερό και τουαλέτα μυρίζει αλλά κάνει τη δουλειά. Νιώστε ασφαλείς και πολύ ήσυχοι ακόμα και αν ο τόπος ήταν γεμάτος (6 βαν) βεβαιωθείτε ότι κάνετε κράτηση online πρώτα.

Ένας όμορφος, ειρηνικός καταυλισμός που βρίσκεται κάτω από το όρος Ruapehu. Μόνο 12 χώροι έτσι πρέπει να βεβαιωθείτε ότι κάνετε κράτηση στο διαδίκτυο, αν και κρατήσαμε τον χώρο καμπίνας μας την ίδια ημέρα χωρίς προβλήματα. είναι μια τοποθεσία DOC, οπότε αν έχετε το πέρασμα του καταυλισμού είναι δωρεάν για να μείνετε. βασικές ανέσεις με μόνο μια τουαλέτα στο χώρο και πικνίκ τραπέζια για φαγητό.
