Be careful if approaching the summit from the south (Sunrise Ridge Track) — this is a very tough hike. The trail is faint and poorly marked, with 7 river crossings before a steep climb. The hardest part is near the top: almost no markers, some scrambling, and loose scree. Don’t underestimate it — be fit and comfortable with heights. Took me about 8h round trip, with a few scary moments.

Καταπληκτικό τοπίο, ένα must για τους οπαδούς του tramping και LOTR. παρκάρουμε στο Courthouse Flat (δεν έχω δει τόσες πολλές μέλισσες στη ζωή μου) και πετάξαμε μέχρι το γοητευτικό Granity Pass Cabin. Το DOC PDF υπερτιμά ελαφρώς τους χρόνους πεζοπορίας, (σοκ) όχι πάρα πολύ άσχημα. ο δρόμος ήταν ωραίο για ένα κανονικό όχημα, να έχετε κατά νου ότι υπάρχει μια ρηχή (παυλωμένη) διέλευση του ποταμού που θα πάρει τριχωτό μετά από έντονη βροχή.

Ίσως ωραίο, αλλά παρακαλώ σημειώστε ότι αυτό είναι μια πεζοπορία. δεν μπορούσα να το κάνω επειδή ήταν πολύ αργά. ο δρόμος είναι κακός και φοβόμουν να πάρω το αυτοκίνητο.

Mount Owen 1875m, το υψηλότερο σημείο του Εθνικού Πάρκου Kahurangi, όμορφη πεζοπορία, πρόσβαση από το North Courthouse Flat, μετρήστε 2 ημέρες με μια νύχτα στο Hut of Granity Hut.

Αρκετά έντονη, πάρτε πολύ νερό και πεζοπορία αν είναι δυνατόν, από το στρατόπεδο στην κορυφή το είχα για 11 πμ επιστροφή με σύντομα διαλείμματα, και πάλι απίστευτα τοπία και δάση

Awesome but hard at the beginning. We did the first day in 7 hours including breaks, IPS breaks ... 4 hours to do the first 3 kilometers. Hard but after it's just awesome, lovely hut, and awesome trip for the second days, some lakes and massive rocks area. Just awesome! Do it. That the best tramp we did in NZ. Very quiet, we were alone. Enjoy

Nice hike.

Very nice hike we did from the north starting at the Courthouse flat campsite , took us ca 12h20 o / high fitness level recommended, it climbs and steep descents very beautiful view 360 atop Mount Owen all The way from the hut reminds one of the sceneries of the Lord of the Rings! Do not rely on the times indicated by the DOC (3h40 to join the hut against 6h indicated on the panels)

I walked's just ... One must first 5 times through by the river to ever come to the beginning of the track ... Also Ca. reversed at half. And the way there was really very steep ...
