One of the most beautiful tracks on both islands. There are various routes to choose from. The tracks are easy—they mostly follow contour lines, with gentle ascents and descents and no steep slopes. I really enjoyed them, with a few mini steps, some river crossings, and a short stretch along railroad tracks, which was also fun. There are signs with information about the local mine. I recommend stopping here, we were completely alone in the parking lot. You can sleep in the parking lot - SC only

Όμορφο περπάτημα από 30 λεπτά έως 4+ ώρες. Ήταν αρκετά απασχολημένος όταν φτάσαμε εκεί το μεσημέρι, οπότε θα ήταν καλό να πάμε νωρίς καθώς το πάρκο μπορεί να γεμίσει γρήγορα. Διαβάσαμε όλες τις πινακίδες πληροφοριών καθώς περπατήσαμε και το βρήκαμε πραγματικά ενδιαφέρον.

Ένας αριθμός βαλς που κυμαίνονται από εύκολη έως μέτρια δυσκολία. Πάρτε πρώτα ένα χάρτη από το κέντρο πληροφοριών Te Aroha. Όμορφα καθαρό ρεύμα στο πάρκο. Απομεινάρια σφραγίδας μπαταρίας στο πάρκο. Ακολουθήστε τα μονοπάτια προς τους σιδηρόδρομους, τις σήραγγες και την κλίση. Ιδανικό για οικογένειες με μικρότερα παιδιά. Το Carpark μπορεί να μην είναι ασφαλές να κατασκηνώσει τη νύχτα όταν οι χούντες μερικές φορές βγαίνουν για να παίξουν.

We went hiking for 2 hours. Nice if you have the time but not a must do of the region in my opinion. The best part was the one that runs along the old rails. No particular difficulty.

Not many comments so I'll add one. Just did it today, it was definitely worth going ! many tracks available for all levels, we didn't go all the way to the top but still did 2 hours. And all along the way there are little mining things (rails, caves, machines) to enjoy

Native bush walks with a variety tracks taking as long or as short as time available. Stout shoes needed.Historical gold mines from 1881 & the rail lines & steep inclines (3) to explore. Definitely worth a look.
