Sensational free camp close to town, many camp spots along the river. There are twenty or so friendly horses grazing in the camp ground ( bring extra carrots & sugar cubes ) Bingara is a very friendly town with all you need for an extended stay Thank you Bingara for providing such a great area
Permanecida en el lado de la ciudad al final del campo de golf en el río uno de los lugares más pacíficos ciudad amigable también PS paga también conducir alrededor antes de tomar decisiones
Nice spot, quiet, reasonable flat an hard ground ... Only just out of town ? would recommend to stay here ?
Great spot by the river. Stayed here a few times enjoyed it every time. Very good Chinese Restaurant at the Sporting club. Bingara is a fantastic little town with everything you need. Great people too.
We stayed on the south side of the river, with access from Gwydir Terrace. Some beautiful spots upstream from the entrance. Its also walking distance from the Sports Club (across from the golf course) . We had the bonus of a full flowing river due to a controlled release from the Copeton Dam. What a great little town with interesting people. The lady from the tourist info was very helpful and a mine of information. Check out the Roxy( ?) next door, THE tree, the permaculture centre and if heading south, the xantheria (grass tree) grove. How cool is a town that has a main street with orange trees as its "memorial" to veterans.... And its the school kids who get to harvest them on armistice day. A real community town. We will be back!
Gorgeous spot. Heaps of room and the horses in the paddock are quite friendly. Other than having no facilities it's the perfect spot.
Absolutely love this spot! So peaceful and right in the river. Enjoying beautiful views of horses too
Fantastic free camp. Loads of room if people are considerate. Hubby was happy he caught (released) a cod. Everyone must be mindful of the horses roaming and leave them be. Nice easy walk into town and the locals are very friendly. The information centre is very helpful with sights to see in the surrounding area. We stayed 5 days and will definitely be back.
