Great park and for free! Start from the south of the park and work your way up the the big highlight / finale in the north of the park (hot water). It was worth the trip ? We did not do hell's gate and other payed activities in Rotarua though. But my geothermal needs are satisfied ?

Very cool place to check out thermal activity for free. Lots of parking at parts all around the park. The pools up at the north end of the park are the most active and steamy. Some nice thermal foot pools to soak your feet in for free. Also my boyfriend says the coffee from the coffee trailer on the east side of the park is the best he has had in NZ yet!

Bigger than we imagined Park rather well laid out on the first part / a little less during the ride The geothermal activity is not very active but remains surprising as the smell !!

Cool park. Hot pools to soak feet in on east side. Awesome pools with boardwalks on west side. Not many people go west so go that way.

Lovely park with 2 hot pools to put your feet in and several boiling mud poold. Nice to have a picnic.

A really beautiful and amazing park, as it steams and seethes it a bit everywhere. There are even two hot pools where you can keep your feet clean. Highly recommended and it is free

Finally a park which isn’t just boring but where you really get so see something special and unique. Really recommend you going there and maybe even sit down for a picnic.

Nice park with a lot of geothermal pools. Colours aren't crazy like the ones you see in tourist brochures, but the park was cool enough.
