Only two parking spaces are permitted without reservation. No tents allowed. View of a lovely landscaped park. Clean toilets and drinking water available. Wi-Fi available at the local bookstore, within walking distance of the parking area.

2 freedom camping spots near the centre of town, available to park from 8pm-8am (someone came to check us just passed 8pm). Access to clean free toilets, drinking water, picnic tables and a BBQ (2$ coins required). Seems to be in demand as a lot of vans had to turn away!

Yea, some pricks always park here outside the hours so it's hard outside of winter, go call DOC to give them a fine if you feel like it. ALSO! Hanmer amenity area is also for not certified vehicles if you are looking for a place, currently incorrectly marked as self contained only in campermate. Emailed DOC who said its only the area 500m further up the road that is self contained only as toilets aren't close even though the road seems to be currently closed to go further up.

Lovely place. Only 2 spaces. Me and my wife waited in a normal car park just next to them from 12pm, went to the pools at 6pm. When we came back around 7pm to park our van, it was full. It pissed us off that we waited so long. You are only allowed to park there from 8pm to 8am.

Great spot in a small quiet & dark carpark, I got there a little after 8pm and there was one spot left. Good little toilet cubicle with clean toilets and bins, and it is right next to a 24/7 laundromat, that has 2 powerpoint outlets! I popped on my laundry & charged up my devices while waiting. Spot is a 5 minute walk from everything! Loved it here! One of the better camp sites i’ve stayed in, despite it being away from nature.

NO SELF CONTAINED - usted puede quedarse en Hanmer DOC Base & Car Park incl Estancia de noche. Hablé con un tipo de DOC y él me envió a ese lugar. Hay baños públicos = todo está bien

Consiguió conseguir el segundo lugar pero imagino que estos a menudo se llenan de inmediato.Tuvimos suerte en un día de semana tranquilo después de que terminaron las vacaciones escolares.Es en el parking para un pequeño parque con baños.Fácil caminar a restaurantes, etc. en Hanmer Springs.

El espacio de giro limitado y ni siquiera cerca del nivel, el consejo también advirtió de posibles multas si estacionas aquí antes de las 8 p.m. Toma tu negocio en otro lugar y dirígete a la reserva del río en su lugar.

Recomendaría llegar temprano ya que los lugares se llenan rápidamente.El consejo no verifica el cumplimiento, si estaciona en un lugar no designado probablemente se le pedirá que continúe.

Llegado a las 7 y los 2 lugares ya fueron tomados por auto contenidos... esto es realmente molesto ya que este es el único campamento gratuito disponible para no auto contenidos en la ciudad.. PLS AUTO CONTAINED NO PARQUE AQUÍ tienes muchas opciones en y alrededor de la ciudad !
