Now a free campsite but the grass is really high, no phone reception, the toilets are inaccessible and the place is terrifying ! We both had this feeling of being observed, and this feeling that we had to leave, feeling we never had in any other campsite, we stayed there for 4 hours and then we had to leave because something wasn’t right.

Recently, I drove past on my way to visit Lake Taylor. This is no longer a paid or maintained campground. It's really only suitable for SC vehicles as I don't know about the condition of the toilet. Needs to be changed to reflect this.

Estuvimos aquí el 19 y 20 de marzo. Fabuloso campamento con limpieza sin mal olor longdrop loo. Llamó al teléfono móvil # en el signo y organizó el pago. Nos alojamos 2 noches con caravana de 8m, despejado y tomamos un viaje de un día en el interior del lago Taylor. Buen estado de la carretera de barro, aproximadamente 45 minutos de viaje. El café Hogget en Hawarden sirve gran café y deliciosos scones.

Éramos las únicas personas aquí, difícil de descubrir cómo pagar. Mucho espacio y un buen paseo hacia abajo al río.

Excelente lugar para alojarse. Fue muy tranquilo. Tiene un baño en el lugar. Necesita su propio papel higiénico. No hay agua pero el agua del río es potable.

Spacious campground with lovely private spots under the trees. Just off the tar seal before the Waitohi bridge. Lovely cabins for rent too. Toilet is a well maintained and cleaned long drop. Water available too. Great value!

It's got a purple symbol but it is $5 per site per night no matter how many people. Also has cabins people can stay in with beds :)
