Hermoso lugar y hermoso paisaje. Tampoco es un mal precio para un sitio alimentado.

I booked a spot at this campsite right in front of the beach. However, the access road into the campsite is densely wooded and tight, making it easy for a caravan to get scratched. Besides, the pitches are very close to one another, so it feels cramped overall. Even though it’s supposed to be a beachfront site, the trees block the view, and you can barely see the beach.

Excelente ubicación, comodidades limpias con música de radio . Gran ducha con agua caliente de temperatura perfecta. Bloque muy amigable en la recepción. Gracias

We booked a beach-side powered site a bit further away from the main areas and did not regret it. Black sand beach and incredible starry nights in their recently certified dark skies. Facilities were simple but clean. Showers in our area did not require coins, and were hot.

Instalaciones básicas pero totalmente funcionales que podrían ser un poco más limpias... Sin embargo, la belleza está en la playa por solo $ 20pn (sin energía). Dolphins nadando por la mañana, hermosos puestos de sol (cuando no hay niebla) y una hermosa playa de arena negra para caminar.

We had a great parking lot under trees with direct access to the beach. Dark enough for stars at night. Toilets and showers separate - could be bigger. In our washroom there was no hair dryer and also no socket to connect ours. There are two kitchens, one has a toaster in it, but not in the small one. The "big" kitchen was rather cramped.

We had a beautiful spot by the sea. The dryer wasn't working, so the campsite owner offered to dry it for us. She even brought it to the camper. So kind. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night. A very nice campsite.

Los propietarios actuales (1-2 años) aparentemente han gastado varios $M reparando / mejorando la infraestructura de drenaje y agua en el extremo norte de este gran sitio (danificado por el terremoto) y tienen una larga lista de trabajos de mantenimiento / reparación / reemplazo que no se pueden hacer todos de inmediato. Mi experiencia como usuario de un sitio sin poder fue ok (sitio 4/5, Wifi 3/5 spasmodic - esp. @ noche, duchas 3/5 caliente v caliente, w/m & desempeño de secador 2/5, cocinas 4/5)

Great site just south of Kaikoura, and much cheaper than the equivalent sites in Kaikoura itself if (like me) you were too late to get a freedom camping spot. Pretty much right next to the sea.
