We wanted to stay here but when we arrived it looked like an abandoned trailerpark. A lot of old campers with the curtains closed standing side by side. It was raining and we thought it was a bit spookey so did not stay here. We stayed at the campground next to this one (great stay!) And while we stayed there, we saw 2 other vans drive up to the other campground and turn around as well.

We went to the first campsite on this road...Mac Gregor and it was nice! The lake was nice and there are clean toilets. There is no drinking water only rainwater. We walked the track that started 2 km away from the campsite and it was beautiful.

Lovely drive to and location by the lake. Very nice lady on site cleaning the loos but we didn’t need to use them as we are self contained. Not expensive for the location , very quiet, chilled vibe and peaceful and great breakfast on picnic bench overlooking the water. Very easy to get to and so much better than the freedom site on the road just outside Tekapo which looked souless. No issue or even aware of permanent residents who are in a different section. We did have phone signal.

Avoid at all costs! $15 per person for absolutely no services, just a dry toilet with no toilet paper, no water, no showers, no internet connection. It's just a parking lot; the only positive point is the nice view of the small lake.

Very quiet and peacful but not spooky, beautiful view. Basic toilets, no water, some light in the toilets during night. Awesom place when you want get away from the busy Lake Tekapo. No cellular receiption

Vibe extraño, parecía ser solo un par de lugares para aparcar. Vista hermosa, muy tranquila. Vibe muy extraño con residentes permanentes y caravanas. Casi siento no deseado allí. Lugar agradable para ver y vale la pena ir a comprobar. No era mi vibe pero. Sentí si hice un ruido o algo malo, me echarían.

¡Qué gran lugar para alojarse, lejos de la agitación del lago Tekapo! Pasamos una noche en este lugar increíble, bajo un hermoso cielo nocturno. Estábamos completamente solos. Tan pacífico, por solo 20$. Nos encantó! Los baños son finos y limpios, con papel higiénico suministrado.

Maravilloso lugar con una buena vista del lago. Como otros han mencionado, este es en realidad el campamento del lago McGregor. Unos pocos caravanas permanentes en el sitio, pero un montón de espacio para los campistas con puntos de barro bastante elevados. Los baños son bastante buenos para las caídas y el saneador de manos está disponible, sin embargo, usted necesita traer su propio rolo de loo. Necesitará dinero en efectivo para la caja de honestidad, a $ 10 por cabeza era un valor mejor que la mayoría de los sitios DOC en los que hemos estado y mucho mejor imo.

Llegó aquí más tarde en el día y todavía un montón de espacio! Vistas fantásticas del lago y estrellas asombrosas por la noche! Las salpicaduras son olorosas y necesitas tu propio rolo de loo. Pero hay agua para lavarte etc. No para beber. Hay residentes permanentes pero están fuera del sitio del campamento que no están cerca de ellos. Cada lugar tiene una gran vista muy recomendable!
