This is a camping ground worth a visit if you like an off the beaten track and secluded area. It’s in the small neighbourhood of Rangitata which is a fishing town. The pebble beach is across the road but there is no view of the beach from the camp ground, and it is also not swimmable. For us, it was an interesting place to drive through and see the coast and river mouth. We would not stay here overnight but it’s easily accessible and a fun detour. Great farm lands on the way.

He tenido muy mala experiencia con este campamento. En primer lugar, tienes que conducir 30 minutos desde SH1 para llegar allí. El campamento ni siquiera tiene sus propios baños. Tienes que usar el baño público de la playa. Ese baño es el más sucio que he visto durante mi viaje de un mes en NZ. La playa no es playa de arena. Solo piedras y rocas, muy difíciles de caminar. El campamento no tiene señales celulares. Dejé el lugar después de darme cuenta de que ese lugar no valía la pena mi tiempo para quedarme allí.

Este es el mejor campamento en todo el mundo! Los chicos son las personas más amigables y divertidas del mundo. Nos cocinaron scones, nos dieron bebidas, y fueron muy hospitalarios. Se puede caminar a lo largo de la playa. Hay cajas de basura y un baño en las cercanías. No cuesta mucho quedarse allí. Recordaremos esta noche para siempre.

This is the best campsite in the entire world! The guys are the friendliest and funniest people in the world. They baked us scones, gave us drinks, and were very hospitable. You can walk along the beach. There are trash cans and a toilet nearby. It doesn't cost much to stay there. We'll remember this evening forever.

Mi amigo y yo pasamos una noche en el campamento del sur de Ragitata y fue una gran experiencia. Las instalaciones eran agradables y limpias y Rosalie era la mejor anfitriona.

Realmente bonito campamento con instalaciones limpias. Los anfitriones fueron brillantes y muy acogedores. No podía recomendar este lugar lo suficiente.

Glenn & Rosalie eran tan acogedor. Nos ayudó en la noche de Navidad cuando nuestras tarjetas bancarias siguieron disminuyendo sin razón. El campamento era hermoso, cerca de la playa y las instalaciones estaban muy limpias.

Really nice and quiet campground. Close to the beach and river mouth. Appr. 10 min walking. Glenn and Rosalie are so kind and lovely! They do have showers, coin operated (2$), and laundry. Really bad to no reception, but definitely worth it!
