Excelente para los ferries entre islas o acceso a la Queen Charlotte Track. Instalaciones limpias y funcionales pero obsoletas. Cuidado con las cabras en el acantilado por encima de la línea ferroviaria.

Surprised by the negative comments. The welcome was friendly and the sites are a good size. Amenities are really good: nice hot showers, a large kitchen, and everything is clean. Very quiet at night. Honestly, a perfect place to stay in Picton.

The owner was very rude. When we wanted to check in, he told me that we still had to pay. As we already put our payment details in while booking I was skeptical and said that I wanted to check my banking app first if nothing had been charged (because all the other times I had booked a campsite it was that way). He then responded that we could drive to the next campsite if I didn’t trust him and just walked out of the room. Even though there was nothing charged I found his behavior very rude.

Excellent service. I made a last-minute booking because I was crossing by ferry at the last minute, and they reserved a very comfortable and warm cabin for me. When I called to explain that we would be arriving on the last-minute ferry, they said it was very understandable and not to worry, that they would leave the keys next to the main office. It's also worth mentioning that the showers had wonderfully hot water, the laundry service was spectacular with a washer and dryer, and the kitchen was fully equipped.

Infrastructure is bit old otherwise it was nice place to stay. Wifi was not free. Bathrooms, kitchen, fresh water to refill, waste dump, power site all facilities were good. Beautiful morning view, we enjoyed when train was crossing over.

As already mentioned, the infrastructure is a bit outdated, but everything was very clean. Showers were freshly painted and hot. The kitchen and appliances were clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for two nights for hiking. At €20 per night, it was perfectly fine. Many campsites in Germany cost more.

Mi reserva fue confirmada, una cabina con ducha / baño / TV / toallas / secador de pelo. Al llegar, dijeron que había un error de software, sólo se disponían cabinas básicas, y los problemas de software no se podían corregir. Esto parece ser un modelo de negocio: una oferta barata, y a la llegada, se le ofrece una cabina con nada. La cabina odia terriblemente de humo de cigarrillos, y el baño comunal también odia de cigarrillos. ¡Mejor no! ¡No te quedes bien!!! Jeep lejos!!!!!!

Buen lugar para pasar una noche pero no más, infraestructura ligeramente desactualizada y sin wifi gratis!

Nuestro ferry de la isla del norte llegó a las 11:45pm y llamamos por la tarde si podíamos hacer el check-in que tarde, dijeron que solo para rocar y coger un lugar y pagar la mañana siguiente - que funcionó perfectamente bien para nosotros y estábamos agradecidos por un fácil 5 minutos de viaje desde el ferry. se puede oír el tren en la mañana temprana y las duchas / cocina / baño están bastante abajo, pero bien para una solución de una noche / ferry:)
