Nice campsite with view of mountains. There were definitely more vehicles than the advertised number of spaces (we had booked in advance but guess some people hadn’t). One long drop toilet and sink but not drinking water.

Spent a quiet night with warm temperatures and a few mosquitoes. One clean pit toilet, a sink with water tap (non potable) outside. Two picnic tables. 6 spots, have to book online only. Reception 4G weak. Well maintained, nature smells of honey, magpies singing and river flowing can be heard.

Ideal place for us to stop on our way down south after the state highway was closed. I’d recommend booking through the DOC website in advance as the signal is very weak once you get there - although we managed in the end. Long drop toilet was clean and didn’t smell too bad, despite what some of the other reviews said. We must have gone shortly after theyd be cleaned! Beautiful & quiet spot surrounded by nature. No noise at night :)

This is a DOC campsite that requires a reservation ($ or free with the annual pass). The access road also leads to the Turoa ski resort. There are 6 well-defined pitches so you're not stuck to the neighbors. Charming little quiet spot surrounded by trees and mountains, close to a short hike. Very decent dry toilets, a sink with a non-potable water tap

Estuvo una noche. No reservó en línea antes de la llegada, pero lo hizo una vez aquí. Afortunadamente un espacio se quedó. Fabuloso lugar tranquilo. El baño fue un poco desafiante pero bien visto mucho peor. Gran tablero de información en las paredes (impresión v pequeña). Caminar hacia abajo hasta el puente en la carretera y hay un hermoso paseo por el río. Estrellas fabulosas en la noche. Maravillosa noche tranquila y tranquila pasada aquí.

Estuvo aquí por una noche en el camper. Maravillosa pequeña zona con acceso a un montón de paseos. No hay agua potable y baño oloroso pero hace el trabajo. Se siente seguro y muy tranquilo aunque el sitio estaba lleno (6 furgonetas) asegúrese de reservar en línea primero.

Un campamento hermoso y tranquilo ubicado debajo del monte Ruapehu. Solo 12 espacios por lo que necesita asegurarse de que reserve en línea, aunque reservamos nuestro espacio de campervan el mismo día sin problemas. Es un sitio DOC por lo que si tiene el paso del campamento es gratis para quedarse. comodidades básicas con solo un baño en el lugar y bancos de picnic para comer.
