Fantastic wide concrete path all along the coast from Bellblock to Port Taranaki. We enjoyed cycling it on a sunny winter’s day and having lunch at the cafe at the port before returning. Great views and plenty of nice stopping places and side trails if you wish.

Amazing for walking, cycling, skating or anything else! It took us about 3 hours one-way to do the whole walkway.

Love it here, Mt Taranaki, the ocean, the sun, friendly people. The walk is stunning

Great walkway with beautiful views! You can also walk on the beach. I liked the bridge a lot. Looks special :) You can bike, run or walk there. In rain nice in sun very great. ???????

I just tried the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway. It's really cool- it goes for almost the whole length of the city and it's ideal for walking, running, biking, roller-blading.. pretty much anything. There are plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view, and some interesting things to see along the way- check out the Wind Wand, it's an amazing sculpture quite close to the middle of town.
