Olemme ajaneet parkkipaikalle, se on yksi kapea graniitin tie, mutta hieno kamarivaunu. Huippukilpailu on violetti huippu ja se on hämmästyttävä! Paras vaellus vain 1-2 tuntia ylös jyrkälle tielle ensin! Näkymät akaroa on mielikuvitus. Paljon erilaisia vaellusvaihtoehtoja siellä!

Suosittelen ajaa ylös parkkipaikalle lähellä lodge ja aloittaa sieltä, mutta varo tie päästä sinne on hyvin kapea ja jyrkkä ja on 2 polkuja, että pyörät on pysyä tai muuten saatat jäädä kiinni. Hyvä vaellus kauniin näkymän! Se saa melko kova lähellä loppua ja jyrkkä ja ympäröi gorse mutta nautin siitä!

Average views, better from the car on the drive down to Akaroa in my opinion. The summit track is very overgrown with gorse and not really achievable unless covered up (comments book in shelter confirms our experience). No shade so take lots of water. Maybe do it for the exercise and jump in the sea after? As there are no showers (or decent beer) in the town.

We have done this walk (the 4hour version) on a hot and sunny day. The last few meters were really exhausting, but all in all its a very nice walk. The yellow flowers smell all like mango and the breathtaking view at the top was the reward for the last meters nearly climbing through the prickly plants.

I drove up the Stony Peak Road till the top where a little car park was. The road was mostly a winding, narrow gravel road. From the car park it was an easy 1 hour return walk to the Summit.

Beautiful view and very peaceful place. U can see dolphins sometimes and very nice place to have a picnic

Tavaroiden vinkkejä. Pysäköinti hieman kovaa ajaa. Sen jälkeen seuraa violetti vuoto tie ja valkoinen maali yläosassa puupalkkien. Aloitan huipulla kävellä skyline (pitkä) ja jälkeen yläosassa, mennä alas Tata treck, ja paripai lyhenteellä. 3h. Erittäin kaunis.
