Pretty good, more for adults than kids. Plenty to learn in the museum if you have time to read, some interesting artifacts. Films are more for the adults. 3D wasn’t bad at all.

I can not agree with the previous comment. We were there 2 days because the ticket is 48h. The normal films are not of the best quality, but still interesting. We did not watch 3D. But the planetarium shows are great. We all saw 3 and loved it! For the rainy days at Mount Cook really a good conversation.

Have lived in New Zealand for more than a year and this museum was the biggest disappointment. It's only part of luxury hotel and it's not worth it for $ 20. They will show you a few short films (I will not talk about their quality), whose 3D is awful and poor. Even now, my eyes hurt.. And the self-appointed museum is nothing more than few papers and two vintage cars Definitely not worth it. If you want to know something about hiking just go to the i-site. They have a free museum and it's much more interesting one.
