We wanted to stay here but when we arrived it looked like an abandoned trailerpark. A lot of old campers with the curtains closed standing side by side. It was raining and we thought it was a bit spookey so did not stay here. We stayed at the campground next to this one (great stay!) And while we stayed there, we saw 2 other vans drive up to the other campground and turn around as well.

We went to the first campsite on this road...Mac Gregor and it was nice! The lake was nice and there are clean toilets. There is no drinking water only rainwater. We walked the track that started 2 km away from the campsite and it was beautiful.

Lovely drive to and location by the lake. Very nice lady on site cleaning the loos but we didn’t need to use them as we are self contained. Not expensive for the location , very quiet, chilled vibe and peaceful and great breakfast on picnic bench overlooking the water. Very easy to get to and so much better than the freedom site on the road just outside Tekapo which looked souless. No issue or even aware of permanent residents who are in a different section. We did have phone signal.

Avoid at all costs! $15 per person for absolutely no services, just a dry toilet with no toilet paper, no water, no showers, no internet connection. It's just a parking lot; the only positive point is the nice view of the small lake.

Very quiet and peacful but not spooky, beautiful view. Basic toilets, no water, some light in the toilets during night. Awesom place when you want get away from the busy Lake Tekapo. No cellular receiption

Outo tunnelma, näytti olevan vain pari paikkaa pysäköidä. Kaunis näkymä, erittäin hiljainen. Erittäin outo tunnelma pysyvien asukkaiden ja karavaanien kanssa. Melkein tuntuu ei-toivotulta siellä. Hyvä paikka nähdä ja kannattaa tarkistaa. Ei ollut minun tunnelma, mutta. Tunsin, jos tein melua tai jotain vikaa, minut heitettäisiin pois.

Mikä loistava paikka yöpyä, kaukana Tekapo-järven mullistuksesta! Vietimme yhden yön tässä hämmästyttävässä paikassa, kauniin yötaivaan alla. Olimme täysin yksin. Niin rauhallinen, vain 20$. Me rakastimme sitä ! Kylpyhuoneet ovat hienoja ja puhtaita, WC-paperilla.

Ihana paikka, jossa on mukava näkymä järvelle. Kuten muut ovat maininneet, tämä on itse asiassa McGregor-järvi leirintäalue. Paikalla on muutamia pysyviä karavaaneja, mutta paljon tilaa leiriytyjille, joilla on melko tasoiset grillipaikat. Kylpyhuoneet ovat melko hyviä drop loosille ja käsien puhdistusaine on saatavilla, sinun on tuotava oma loo-rulla. Tarvitset käteistä rehellisyyden laatikosta, 10 dollaria per henkilö se oli parempi arvo kuin useimmat DOC-sivustot, joissa olemme viipyneet ja paljon mukavampi imo.

Sain tänne myöhemmin päivällä ja vielä runsaasti tilaa! Upea näkymä järvelle ja hämmästyttävä tähdet yöllä! Loos ovat tuoksuva ja tarvitset oman loo rullia. Mutta on vettä pestä pois jne ei juoda. On pysyviä asukkaita, mutta ne ovat pois leirintäalueen et ole lähellä niitä. Jokainen paikka on hyvä näkymä erittäin suositeltavaa!
