Lovely spot by the river which we were lucky enough to have all to ourselves. The toilet is closed during winter, so only for self contained during that time. There was a warning about the area being prone to flash flooding, so possibly avoid if it looks like rain. It's super dark at night, a great dark night experience where we could see all the stars. Was lovely. Lots of mooing cows the night we stayed, and they went all night long. Not sure if that's seasonal or they are unusually loud 🤣

Beautiful spot where you are able to park right near the stream. Almost no people. One drop toilet which was very clean and nice.

Kia ora travellers! If you are in search of rural little hideaway, then you have found the spot. The river is gorgeous (please check LAWA websites “can I swim here” for Ōroua River before swimming). Peaceful, not many others there in December when we visited, trees provide the perfect amount of shade. The toilet (long drop) was great, no other facilities but no problem in such a beautiful location. Even some friendly cows in the paddock nearby. We loved it!

se oli epätodellinen paikka. voit jäähtyä järven äärellä koko päivän. tähtiä yöllä, taivas oli selkeä, koska mikään ei ole ympärillä. tie ylös täällä on hieman kaukana, mutta def kannattaa, jos sinulla on aikaa. ei ollut avoinna wc, kun olimme siellä. ei lof ppl tulevat tähän paikkaan talvella mielestäni bcs meillä oli koko paikka itsellemme!

Hyvä paikka! On paljon tilaa! Mahdollisuus tehdä pieni leiripalo. Joen vieressä. WC auki 1. maaliskuuta asti. Rehellisesti loistava! Suosittelen!

Rakastin tätä paikkaa, niin yksityistä. Noin 8 leirintäalueella, mutta niin paljon tilaa voisi mahtua 4x, että tarvittaessa ja silti olla yksityinen. Ei enimmäismäärä. WC puhdas (longdrop) joki jäätyy, mutta niin virkistävä uida. Ei suuria vikoja, hyvä solujen vastaanotto. Tie päästä sinne on hieman tuulisia, mutta näkymät ovat uskomattomia ja niin sen arvoisia. En matkustaisi tietä yöllä. Näytti siltä, että oli asetettu ylös pienille leirintäalueille, mutta emme tehneet yhtä. Olisi voinut helposti oleskella 2 yötä, mutta vain 1 yö.

Loistava paikka kaareva tie, hiljainen ja rauhallinen lähellä jokea upeat näkymät!

Me rakastamme tätä paikkaa! Se on niin hiljainen, pisaroiden vessat ovat kunnossa. mutta se on aivan joella, jossa voit uida.

Tällainen ihana pieni paikka, niin hiljainen ja whanau ystävällinen. awa oli mukava pieni uintipaikka lapsille.

Hyvä paikka luonnossa, ei muita leirintäalueita siellä. klo 10 saapui koulu, joka tekee ulkona urheilua :)
