Nice campsite with view of mountains. There were definitely more vehicles than the advertised number of spaces (we had booked in advance but guess some people hadn’t). One long drop toilet and sink but not drinking water.

Spent a quiet night with warm temperatures and a few mosquitoes. One clean pit toilet, a sink with water tap (non potable) outside. Two picnic tables. 6 spots, have to book online only. Reception 4G weak. Well maintained, nature smells of honey, magpies singing and river flowing can be heard.

Ideal place for us to stop on our way down south after the state highway was closed. I’d recommend booking through the DOC website in advance as the signal is very weak once you get there - although we managed in the end. Long drop toilet was clean and didn’t smell too bad, despite what some of the other reviews said. We must have gone shortly after theyd be cleaned! Beautiful & quiet spot surrounded by nature. No noise at night :)

This is a DOC campsite that requires a reservation ($ or free with the annual pass). The access road also leads to the Turoa ski resort. There are 6 well-defined pitches so you're not stuck to the neighbors. Charming little quiet spot surrounded by trees and mountains, close to a short hike. Very decent dry toilets, a sink with a non-potable water tap

Suuri, siisti paikka, haluaisin palata takaisin! olimme täällä yhden yön, se oli hyvin hiljainen ja nukahdimme todella hyvin.

Viipyi yhden yön. Ei varannut verkossa ennen saapumista, mutta teki niin kerran täällä. Onneksi yksi tilaa jäljellä. Upea hiljainen paikka. WC oli hieman haastava, mutta ok. Näytti paljon pahempaa. Suuri tietopaneeli seinillä ( print v pieni). Kävele takaisin sillalle tiellä ja siellä on ihana jalansija alas joen. Tähtiä upea yöllä. Ihana hiljainen rauhallinen yö vietetty täällä.

Viipyi täällä yhden yön leirintäalueella. Ihana pieni alue, jossa on pääsy runsaasti kävelykierroksia. Ei juomavettä ja wc haisee, mutta tekee työtä. Tunne turvallinen ja erittäin hiljainen vaikka sivusto oli täynnä (6 vans) varmista, että varaat verkossa ensin.

Kaunis, rauhallinen leirintäalue, joka sijaitsee Mount Ruapehun alapuolella. Vain 12 tilaa, joten sinun on varmistettava, että varaat verkossa, vaikka varasimme leirintäalueemme samana päivänä ilman ongelmia. Se on DOC-sivusto, joten jos sinulla on leirintäalueen passi, se on ilmainen pysyä. Perusmahdollisuudet, joissa on vain wc paikan päällä ja piknik-pankit syödä.
