Great place for a stop over. Well off the main road (unlike how it is shown on the map) - quiet, no highway noise. There was only one other overnight camper. Plenty of shade. Unfortunately, no open flames allowed, so no campfire. Nice 15-min walking loop with native NZ trees labeled, so you can learn your Rimu from your Rata :) . Nearby stream also offers a nice setting. Flushable bathrooms are basic, but better than many others at free camp sites. Can’t beat it for $2.

You’ll be rolling on the tyre tracks of many campers before you. Since 1929 this place has been an oasis for those pilgrims exploring Aotearoa’s undulating hills. The flat grass and simple loo make for a perfect rest spot. The heritage of the untouched native bush around the site is evidenced by the bird song that greets you just as the sun begins to crest, and the mysterious rustles during the night. Sleep well and enjoy.

Tällainen mukava rauhallinen paikka! Puhdista vessat myös. Paikat voivat saada varjoisia puissa, mutta myös paljon aurinkoa.

Hämmästyttävä hiljainen paikka vain 2 dollarin lahjoituksella, puhdas wc, mutta ei juomavettä.

Upea leirintäalue vain 2 dollaria varten! Flushing wc: t, ei kannettavaa vettä, hyvin hoidettuja alueita ja piknik-pöytiä. Vain noin 4 muuta vantia, kun pysyimme, paljon tilaa täällä. Suosittelen lämpimästi! Tapa on parempi kuin mikään doc-sivusto, jossa olemme pysyneet ja niin paljon halvempaa!

I love Anzac park.. Has a nice steam that's great for cooling off in and the nature walks are beautiful. It quiet and relaxing. My fav spot to hide away.
