Grass field on both sides of the road. Many places in the grass and rather flat. 1 single clean toilet but with a few insects. A 25 min from Invercargill. The road is quiet, it begins to have pass trucks around 7am but not ultra disturbing

A grassy field on the side of the road along the creek, surrounded by sheep. Level spots, would imagine it’s good for tents if that’s your route. One toilet on the larger side of the site. Road noise isn’t bad. Phone signals pretty poor but enough to send texts through and check the weather. No water or other amenities but it’s free and you can stay here multiple nights. Roughly 30 minutes from downtown invercargill.

Excellent spot, flat grassy area with plenty of space. The campsite is not very busy, mainly used by locals. Small composting toilet available. The proximity to the road is not a problem. Very good backup spot if there is too much wind on the coast or too many sandflies.

No more tree felling work. We were alone here and had a quiet night. On the other side there were a few cars and a caravan. So, free camping is perfectly fine.

Third place we tried in Invercargill, was fine until a solo man rocked up in his car and parked up. We didn’t feel safe so we left. Site is viewable from road, so that did not help. We prefer to be tucked away out of view from main roads. Can imagine it’s okay in summer with more people around. Disappointed. Long drop loo not in a great state.

Tilava, loistava teltat. Yksi loo kiitos jumalalle, ja se on hieno! Lopeta valittaminen ihmisiä! Se on pitkä pudotus, joka on aina loo rulla ja käsien puhdistusaine. Suosittelen pysäköintiä grilliin, koska näyttää siltä, että muutama ihminen on jumissa ruohoa (se on joen rannalla ja se on märkä ilmasto täällä). Voit mennä vasemmalle sillan jälkeen 3 hyvin hoidettuun van-paikkoihin tai oikealle ruohoinen teltta-alueelle. V.loud tie päivällä, v rauhallinen yöllä.

Erittäin vastenmielinen ja pieni wc, jossa on satoja kuolleita lentokoneita ja eläviä lentokoneita. Ei juoksevaa vettä vain pieni säiliö, joka kerää sadevettä pienestä wc-hytin katolta. Tie sillan alla on lähellä.

Ihmiset, Ole hyvä ja sulje pitkän pisaran wc:n kansi. Se ei ole kirjoitettu kaikkiin hytteihin ilman syytä! Jos et tiennyt: se vähentää sekä hajuja että kärpäsien / hyttysten määrää. Voit sulkea kannen wc-paperiin tai jalkaan, jos löydät sen karkeaksi, TAI yksinkertaisesti desinfioi kätesi tai pese ne autossasi. Kiitos!

Miellyttävä, rauhallinen paikka, joka ulottuu molemmin puolin tietä. Kyllä, tiellä on liikennettä, mutta vain päivällä.
