Nice walk but a bit exhausting. The tunnels are awesome, saw a lot glowworms. The end is closed so you have to turn around and walk back. Wear slippers
The coolest walk! Need a torch. The walk starts through the forest and then you walk uphill for a little bit before you reach the tunnel entrance.
So cool!!!! Went to the i-site who informed us there is always water in there, so make sure you have good shoes and/or are okay with them getting wet. Saw some glow worms during the day time!! Bring a flash light. The end of the first tunnel is closed off but still an amazing experience.
It's a bit of a hike to go there and the tunnel was flooded and there was a sign that the tunnel is closed at the end. Still a nice area
Strange and interesting piece of mining and hydroelectric history. Wear gum boots! Some glow worms
The tunnel was open (as of Friday, 2/14/20). However, we only got to the end of the tunnel, since from there the path was blocked by a grille. Ie unfortunately we couldn't enjoy a view after the tunnel path. The experience was great anyway. Walked through the ice-cold water of the tunnel with flip flops (about 15-20 minutes back and forth). You can see a few glow worms and many spider eyes! ? The ascent to the tunnel takes about 30 minutes. We had a lot of fun and would do it again! :)
It’s open again (9 feb). The water is freezing, walked barefoot. Would recommend to wear flip flops or rubber boots, however you can walk barefoot. Walk without the lights on even tho it’s scary, and u will see all the “stars in the sky” amazing!
Still closed today. Closed sign is dated 7th/dec/2019 with tape blocking the walkway. Doesn’t look to be opening any time soon.
Still closed because of Storm damage
