No longer a campsite. Free camping at Smiths crossing at the lake.

Great stop. Staff are friendly, you must be self sufficient to stay

No showers or toilets available when we arrived at 9:30pm. A sign says 5$ per night and person.

Really dirty because there are no toilets... Goog for 1 night

Have left because of the ratings the visit of the tavern. Without toilet is of course not ideal. Still easy to reach and ok for one night.

Big free camping ground but the toilette is disgusting and costs 5$! Better save the money..

This is a great free campsite - to say it’s just off the highway you hear little road noise and it’s a very spacious grassy field. The pub is great - friendly staff and well priced, delicious food. The toilet/shower is $5 (for the 2 of us) and although it’s a portaloo with a shower inside, it’s not as bad as some of the reviews on here - it’s a hot shower at the end of the day and we left feeling very refreshed.

The shower is not free - it's 5$ + 10$ deposit for the key

We stayed 1 night. Were on the way to Mackay. Is a simple parking lot next to the road. Road noise was ok. (Im still young, I can still sleep well.) We did not use toilets because we moved on early in the morning.
