We stayed here after a big walk at Rakaia Gorge. Owners were very helpful. Just a quick email to reserve a powered site which was super easy. They also have a beautiful cat named stormy who was super friendly. Common area is great with everything you need. We played a few games of pool and table tennis. Showers were great and just what we needed.

Used this as a stopover for driving to Lake Tekapo, was very easy to book by emailing the campground staff. Quick response saying we had site 7 booked, arrived followed by two other campervans who were together, and the owner seemed a bit flustered by three arriving at the same time. Campers that arrived behind us had parked in our pitch, and told us to find another site which was difficult given power outlet location and length of cable we had, and owner not that fussed to resolve.

We stopped by Methven for one night, and were very pleased. Friendly woman at front desk, lots of open space, and we were able to snag a powered site under the trees. Facilities were clean. Short walk to the excellent thermal pools and cafes!

Magnifique camping. La cuisine et la salle de télévision étaient incroyables. Nos enfants (âgés de 6 et 8 ans) aimaient ce camp.

The owner was really welcoming and the unpowered sites were really big, not alot of other campers and just a 2 min drive from the spa pools. Kitchen and bathrooms were a bit old but clean and it had a nice community room. In the evening it was nice and calm and i would recommend to look at the stars :)

Lovely little site off the main road but only a 2 min drive to the pubs and restaurants. Nice guy who runs it, you can see he cares. Kitchen is a bit old but feels warm which is nice. Bathrooms are standard fare but nice and clean. Wifi unfortunately doesn’t reach the park sites but the Irish bar in town solved that! Would recommend.

Magnifique camping - zone de lounge dispose d'un feu, des canapés, de la télévision, des jeux de table, du tennis de table et des tables de piscine. La cuisine dispose d'un four, d'un réfrigérateur et de beaucoup d'équipements de cuisine. Le couple qui possède le site était super sympathique et serviable. Ils ont fait des muffins pour tous les invités. Methven elle-même est une petite ville avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin, un excellent emplacement pour Mt. hut et Rakaia Gorge. Il y a également divers pubs dans la ville, y compris un pub irlandais.

Personnel sympathique, emplacement agréable, installations calmes et propres.

Bon camping. Nous avons séjourné ici afin que nous puissions marcher jusqu'aux piscines thermiques. Et la ville était à seulement 10 minutes à pied aussi. Les salles de bains étaient propres. Nous n'avons pas pris de douche mais nous avons vu qu'il était sur un horloger payant. Il n'était pas très occupé non plus.

20 $ pour un site non alimenté. zones communes comprises avec cuisine, canapé, télévision, lavabo et salle de bains. 1 $ pour les douches. Wifi disponible mais seulement à proximité de la réception
