Basic DOC camping ground with flushing toilets. Sheltered spot for us for the one night stay. $30 for a couple is getting pricey but still cheaper than a fully serviced campground.

Nice doc campground by beach and cliffs for $10 a person or can use the doc camp pass. I stayed 2 days .Can park up right in front of beach but can be windy .There 2 toilet areas there and cold showers ..Can walk to Point Campbell lighthouse about 8!kms return hike along beach . Was quiet there only about 8; vechices It's only about 30!kms to Blenheim so easy drive .It's 8 kms off highway last 1 km is gravel road

nice area to camp, has flush toilets and cold showers available. also a spot to wash up. beach os also pleasant and has a good view of sunrise and sunset.

Very nice spot right on ocean with huge Long Beach an hikes nearby . Lots of nice level spots and nice clean new feeling water toilets and dish washing sinks. I would go back.

Très bon endroit juste sur la plage. Les salles de bains sont propres et comprennent également une douche froide . toilettes d'eau. Plongée pour nettoyer les plats mais vous devez faire bouillir l'eau pour boire. Une piste à la fin de la route. Très agréable!

Proper beachfront camping — vans right by the sea with several great spots. On a clear day you can see the North Island across the water, which adds cinematic flair. Easy online booking (despite what some confidently wrong people might claim). Two toilet blocks, cleanliness okay-ish — ants run a parallel society. Cold showers only. No dump, no fresh water. Beautiful, simple, slightly itchy. 8/10 salty resilience. 🌊🚐

The campsite can only be paid for online, and only if you've previously purchased a DOC Campsites Card for $295 per person! An absolute outrage! We had to move on.

Great spot by the sea with several toilet blocks (free cold shower). A gentleman from the DOC comes to check reservations in the evening. Go up to the higher pitches, the view is even better! Very quiet!

Beautiful beachfront site. Clean restrooms. Very natural and peaceful; we had a restful night after the ferry. Price: $15 per person with a campervan. Magnificent view.
