Got there about 5.30 pm, 3 campers already there. You have to park between the signs, spaces for 4. We had to wait till the walkers moved their car to park in the last spot. Not flat. Very calm and no noise at night. Clean toilets and sink.

Wow! Great free campground! Just under the Mt. Manaia where the hike begins. Very quiet, you can hear kiwi there (I had no luck to see them). Felt safe as female solo traveler 😊

Loved This place! Basic with one loo but comfortable enough. Quiet and peaceful at the base of the hike. The club next door is so friendly and welcoming to visitors, we went in for drink and game of pool. Fish and chip shop 10 min walk away was decent too. Overall great free camp for one night

Parking in front of the Mount. Approx. 4 véhicules. Quiet and nice view. Toilets 24h/24h. Clean but no lights. Max 1 night stay. Nice pub near by.

Très bon endroit!! Nous étions seuls pour la nuit, nous n'avons pas essayé le bar à côté mais il semblait très amical. Les toilettes sont propres et ouvertes toute la nuit, pas de poubelle peut sur le site. Le lendemain, nous avons fait la randonnée de la montagne Manaia et c'était incroyable! En bref: grand endroit pour commencer votre randonnée ahaha et une belle vue

Très calme, rien dans le pub à côté de nous. Lieu idéal si vous faites le sommet à pied le matin. Aucune baie désignée juste besoin de s'adapter les véhicules entre deux signes. Facilement 3 voitures. Toilettes sur place, très propre et ouvert 24/7

We enjoyed this spot. It is closed to the road, cars passing by through the night didn't bother us at all. We were spoiled with euphonious sounds coming from the nearby club. Two picnic benches and clean toilets. Our stay here was concluded with a very scenic morning walk up Mt. Manaia.
